LOL, then I cheat a lot. Is there a cheat/tweak/mod where you will never lose troops? I don't really like my troops dying off so I always give myself 30 intelligence reading books and 10 surgery from skill points earned from reading those intelligence books. Even then, those lousy recruits still get killed their asses off. I don't know about you but I'm quite attached to what's mine(abnormally so in games at least) and those troops' lives are mine! Either I kill them with my arrows or disband them off.

There is a way to edit your character file.  I never did it, but from what I remember it wasn't complicated.  The idea was, that you export your character, edit it to suit your needs, and import it back again.  You could have (I think) several hundred strength and other nonsense like that this way too, if you fancy taking on a kingdom with no army, or something similar.
