I think there is about a 100000 buyers, but there is many persons who play this game illegal I think.

Yeah I used to be one of them for a while, but then I bought it after seeing how awesome it was. I think people who enjoy this game will buy it, eventually..

Come on people we need to spread the word

You just did, a little too much.

Talk about not reading previous posts... Nice meeting you though.

Pirated games don't have patch/multiplayer support, so i don't think it is much of an 'advantage'.

True...  But Pirating is Free ^^  i dont like Multiplayer so bad luck for me then  (old games used to have No serial so you could use MP with them(only the CD/crack was an Issue) ) ohh eyah Count me in as a Playerrr too

I went to Best Buy to buy the box version for a buddy's baby shower (I don't know what babies like).  They didn't have it, and the guy never heard of it.  So I bought another serial key.  No Frodogorn for me alas.

At least we're culling the weak from the forums this way.

I bought it really early. God it was so long ago. I know it was back when it was only Swadia vs Vaegirans and we still had Zendar. The only followers were Marnid and Borcha.

I convinced aproximately 8 people to purchase it and for a while at the store we had about 12 people playing it actively (back then I owned a miniatures and roleplaying games/hobby store.

Since 2006 we (my roleplaying group) have a requirement that in order to play in our D&D campaigns you must have a legal copy of Mount&Blade and must have played it to level 10 or higher. It has to do with the structure and the game play. We use it to do visualization (we play more of a table-top tactical simulation with armies of minis rather than traditional D&D).

Well, it's on Steam's "Top Sellers" list at the moment, and that's probably a pretty good sign. The other games on that list are Fallout 3, Bioshock, STALKER: CS, The Witcher, and Hinterland. Pretty good company for our favourite little game to be in!

I only ever heard of this game when it released on Steam. Otherwise I doubt I'd ever be playing it. So I tried the demo and bought the game the next day. I'd imagine that at least a few hundred - thousand have at least tried the Steam demo if not actually bought it.

I checked Steam and it's been pushed off of their top 10 (sold) game list in favor of the new added Grand Theft Auto IV and the 98 cent Half Life. But for a while it was riding behind Fallout for the number three slot so I suspect that plenty of people purchased it.

You'll always have those guys that buy the game and then don't like (who don't think $40.00 is much money at all) and then of course the silent types who never register on the forums and post. I'd have to say this game has probably a thousand (or more) dedicated players... more than that have bought it... and probably a couple hundred at best diehards. Those diehards are the ones that will be active here on the forums and recommending the game to other player.
