Hi ho folks,

I've been out of the M&B world for a while now, and I am thinking of picking up  the Napoleonic Wars DLC.  However, I don't want to buy another dead addon like WF&S.  How many people play the game regularly, especially on U.S. servers?  And how good is it?

Lots of US players around, but I tend to go to the EU sever because it normally has more people on it when I play. I'd say the US is the largest single national group, but a lot of British play too. The two of them combined likely represent at least half of the players.

Weve been hitting max capacity every night :O

I feel like a WoW GM now when I go on xD

Something you can tell by watching the regiment list.

A damned lot of Germans, Dutch and Scandinavians play too.

I'm almost suprised that I don't often see French people playing, unless that's because they hang around in francophone-only regiments / servers.

Don't forget about us Canucks!

But, yes there are a ton of active players and clans, and the community is (and was while this was still MM) one of the most vibrant and welcoming I've had the pleasure to be a part of (for six months and counting).

So, in short, there are plenty of public players, but the regiments are (and always will be) where it's at.

NW is built around its community. It probably has more players than Native at this point.

Im an American, and have had several americans go into the regiment im in, so you have a nice strong community of NA players in NW. Hosted a server with my regiment a few days ago, maxed out in 1 hour.

Awesome thanks for the feedback guys, I'll probably buy it when the semester ends here in a few days.
You will find that there are a few former nK members lurking in Napoleonic Wars these days.

I'm an east coast US player and I have found that the US servers usually have a decent number playing at any given time. I have also noticed that the UK servers tend to have a larger variety of gametypes with an equal or greater amount of players, and my latency to UK servers is never higher than 100 or so, which for NW gameplay is more than manageable.

You won't regret it. I'm assuming you tried Mount & Musket: Battalion back in the day too, this is a better version of that.

A ton of US people play.

Favorite three servers for those in the US.

Us battle server
United US Team Deathmatch
and 13te rifles TD when it is open

The European servers are pretty much packed all the time and though the community always has been more numerous here in Europe I cannot imagine it's more than a little less players for the Amurrican servers.

The game is without a doubt good. The buffing of shooting and the incitements of teambonuses has been put in place to accommodate the new populace but the cavalry-play is fixed from MM and is even better than before! Best spent money since Warband, in fact

/Thokan_ATS / Modig around here

I agree with the logical implications of that statement.

May the grammatical gods strike me down, here and now.
