I've been wondering lately, since so many seem so ready to help others, and the knowledge base in Off-Topic is fairly large, what is your level of education? Diploma? High school? Bachelors? Masters? Doctorate? Working towards any of these? It'd be interesting to see how many of us are attending/attended university.

I personally am studying towards a Bachelors Degree of Science, a Combined Honours in Astronomy & Physics double major.

Currently I'm on de Haagse Hogeschool (lit. High School, but it's "The Hague University" in English) doing a bachelor I'm not really fond of and I don't think I'll manage. So, High school diploma it is. So far.

Opted to head into employment after I left college, so never went to uni as a lass. I'm doing it now though, studying for my Bachelor of Science around my job.

I'm waiting for Kleidophoros to come in here and throw down the PhD trump card, personally.

Going towards a bachelor of fine arts.

Your science degrees intimidate me.

2nd year of studying for a BA in Classical Archaeology and Ancient History, at the university of Oxford.

How's the fieldwork?
I've heard tell that the more prestigious Uni's tend to focus more on the theoretical than the practical forms.

Going for bachelors of genetics here. Switched after I find that in my 2nd year of bachelors of Geophysics, I was bored like hell and did not have the motivation to continue.

Tis a fair point - we don't really get any practical training at all. They give us money to go join digs of our own choice, and I'm spending as much time as possible looking for jobs. If they'll pay me even better.
The degree course is basically history, but using both textual and archaeological evidence, and some modules you can choose specifically focus on aspects of the ancient world that come under the heading of archaeology - architecture, art, coins, cities and settlement patterns etc etc. Am doing a module on scientific methods in archaeology next year that I can't wait for.
But I do love me a good bit of pick wielding. Definitely want to spend a good portion of my life out in a field somewhere in the Med. getting dirt under my fingernails. Don't want to be some armchair archaeologist.
Also, archaeologists like it dirty.

Sounds awesome. With the history (teacher) course I'm planning to start later this year there is a possibility of moving into archaeology studies as well, iIrc.

I received two Bachelors, one in Geophysics, and another in Philosophy. Now I'm headed back 20 years later for a certificate and Masters in Education.

I have a long road ahead of me. After my IB & OSSD diploma, gearing for a Bachelor of Arts, specifically History, then a degree in Law. After my high school, my undergrad is going to be fairly easy; my brother is doing mostly the same (though he copied me, I swear it. Wanker switched from Medicine to Law).

The most wealthy people in my country are lawyers; I want to get the highest possible (possible to me ) degree in Law (maybe International), that **** practically gives ya the licence to print money around here.
