For sieges, masterwork siege xbow w/ steel bolts, shield, and heavy morningstar. For field battles, I replace the xbow with a great lance and another shield. And yes 17000 is a lot lol. Game setting: difficulty 82%, easy damage, battle size 150, auto lance control (because I dont use lance). Personal mod.
Weapons of choice: 2H sabre, strong bow with lots of arrows, heavy orchampion hunter. For siege attack: steel shield, military hammer or morning star, bow + arrows (bonus ammo in siege). Mostly wear black full plate.
I don't remember how many time I was KO, probably once very large battle (1000+ enemy, at least 3:1 odd). Almost always KO in the first siege attack attempt.

Not as impressive as others but I'm only been playing Warband a month. I probably have less than 20 kills in multi-player and I've played probably 10 hours of that.

Yes, I was wondering how you found enough things to kill.
In perhaps Native Expansion and other mods there is an abundance of bandits and an invasion. But in Native and even Diplomacy not so much.

For me part of it is how I play. I use a charger and with my heavy morningstar and great lance I can 1 hit just about anything. I also try not to let people escape too much, if they're routing I just see them as free experience because I know my army can take care of anyone that's still fighting. I'm also not sure if they add to a garrison or not so I would rather not take that chance.Sir No0b 说:
During sieges, I use my crossbow to take out archers on the walls that are harassing my men on the ladder. With a large bag of steel bolts, masterwork siege crossbow and good accuracy, that's a maximum of 26 kills right there (although I'm usually getting about 15-20 kills, archers are sometimes jittery and sometimes my bolts hit an invisible wall and float in midair, plus on rare occasions a headshot doesn't get the kill). When I climb up onto the wall, if I need to I'll stand at the top of the ladder and kill a few people in the way and try to jump onto the wall. As my army follows, the defenders are more focused on keeping them off the wall than me being behind them smashing in their backs with my morningstar. I'll do the same thing on stairs too if we're at a standstill. I'll drop down from the wall onto the stairs so I'll be behind the defenders, then fight my way through them to my group.

My problem with kill counts too low is that there is not enough to kill. Sea Raiders are few and far between, and since I am sticking to using Swadians I'd have to return to Tosdhar and Ryibelet once every so often to restock.
