Not sure if you are joking or not. I know you are not a troll so I'm guessing you are just believing in TW too much Spinozart or just being sarcastic.A somewhat working fix would limit the chance to track any root cause.
They don't need user feedback to pinpoint the root cause of this. You do that for rare instances, that happen randomly under certain conditions, but this is not one of those cases. It's out there, plain open, always reproducible, 10 out of 10 times. They can isolate that version and pinpoint/track whatever the hell they want.
Unlikely. If they really thought about a "temporary" fix, they would do that. Because this is a game-breaking bug. And even TW isn't reckless enough to leave a game-breaking bug in their game while they can fix it, even if it's temporary. That's what they did for ladders. It's not working always, but more or less it's fixed. It's also a patchwork, since it's not completely fixing the situation but at least making the game less garbage. But If they really tried this mod's solution, tested it, and saw that it's working, and yet decided not to fix it, then sorry but it means they are really ****ty developers and game designers. But again, I don't think that's the case - I don't think they even thought about this or another random (most likely pointless) feature they have in their mind that took the development time/resources.I'm pretty sure TW did consider this approach too.
If a modder is able to provide a temporary fix, TW should be able to do that as well.
But again, months ago, when I said "TW is chilling because they know that modders are fixing the game and players are depending on modders and this is not okay" some random people cried at me. So, they can enjoy depending on this talented unpaid dude's work till TW is done with chilling and decides to fixes it's own game.
It's hilarious that one of the most important "feature" of the game is not working at all since from the beginning of EA ( which is approximately 565 days ago as OP stated ) and the company which was supposedly release this game months ago is still not putting this in their number one priority. Seeing people who are feeling "happy" after seeing sieges are working as expected is as sad as it gets.
