how does modding this game compare to bethesda games?

ive made and customized mods for bethesda games ad naseum.  morrowind, oblivion, fallout 3 tools were fairly easy to figure out.  how does using the "module" system feel in comparison.  one thing i did notice is that anytime a patch is made it seems to have a much bigger impact on mods since there is more use of text.

Well, its much difrent, that I can tell you. You dont have a interactive tool, you have to work by text files.

The text based-ness of it all makes it quite a lot more tedious than modding on Oblivion or Morrowind. Its much less visual as well.

i might give it a shot then.    ill wait till they start patching less frequently...........not that im complaining, its pretty rare to find a great developer that keeps patching their game long after release.  most other developers would have given up on it awhile ago.  i cant wait till their third installment.

i would love to see them try their hand at a pirate game as well.  akella seems to keep releasing buggy unfinished games but never really updates them.

Yeah actual scripting is much harder than Bethesda modding because Bethesda has everything simply set up for the casual gamer. Modding models is about the same difficulty.
