Does it affect where I shoot here? Because:
If I shoot from above I do about at max 4 kills max.
If I shoot from below I do mostly 2 kills max.
If we're even terrain I can take out about 6 at max.
This is on those Frontiersmen who clump up at the start of the map.
But I might be doing something wrong, or that my shot tend to stray even at 280 FireArm skill now :\.
I think Hand Cannon is more situational when fighting on foot rather than on open ground.
You can fight on horseback, on foot or in sieges, it shouldn't matter, the way it deals damage is the same.
The only thing that's important is that:
a) You opponents are in a tight formation or otherwise clumped together
b) You carefully aim AT THE GROUND, right in the middle of the enemy group.
That b) can be very tricky sometimes, I know.
- In sieges where you are the attacker, aiming from the ladders to the enemies on the walls does not result in too many kills.
This is because, obviously, they have the high ground and you'll have difficulty firing on the ground on which they stand.
BUT, once you're on the walls and you have a clear vision on their spawning point inside the castle, YOU will have high ground and the enemy will spawn in big groups at the same spot. Perfect formula for Hand Cannon slaughtering (if you're not engaging in melee yourself, that is)
- In the open field, I would recommend firing the Hand Cannon from horseback, since that extra height helps you to aim at the ground instead of firing horizontally through the formation. The speed of the horse also makes it safe for you to come closer to have a better aim.
It can be done on foot too, certainly, but it's more risky because if the angle of your aim moves even slightly, it will end up being a perfect horizontal shot and it will only hit 1 or 2 guys max(unless you are almost in melee range, which makes it easier to judge where it will land on the ground)
The key here, is to be able to judge where your "bullet" will land on the ground.
