How do you start the storylines?

Okay, so...

Im getting bored of randomly attacking villagers, and want to know how to start the storylines.

Ive manages to start the russian one, but was surprised when all of a sudden i was forced to rebel againt the tsar. Unprepared (read- no army) i kept getting killed. so i gave up.

So, how do i start the other storylines... and is there one for Sweden (I heard there wasnt)

Once you start one I don't think you can do another one, I have asked

Speak with lords and take the special quests. This isn't the storyline yet but they rise your relationship with the faction. You need 10 relationship points to start the storyline.

Oh, okay. But what happens when i get 10 rep? Do i get a message, or do i have to ask for a quest from the leader?

I have also a problem with this. I'm doing the swedish storyline, but i have only do two mission. I don't know what i will do next!

There is Swedish, when I was doing Tsar, I did these special quests for every faction, 1 mission tho..

Polish one.
Wait for some days/ a week until the "Flood" starts.
All the countries (Except Khanate) will declare war on the Commonwealth.
Go to the King and ask him to be allowed to help the Commonwealth

Its funny how I started the Polish questline, and the swedish took half of the polish lands.... lol I have taken Warsaw!

That's why it was called a "Flood". There were so many Swedish soldiers that our country practically got flooded by them

Oh ok, and for everyone that wants to know, If you want to start a storyline, don't go for the king, go for a lord. and a game wouldn't have only 3 storylines, they would have 5. So there is 5 storylines

It does have only 3 and not 5.

I have (another) dumb question.

Is there a timetable on storylines?  What i mean is, do you only have so much time to build up your character/finances  or can you  freewheel as long as you like? 

Whenever i have (attempted) to play Fire and steel, I keep getting the impression im on some kind of time crunch.

There is no time line. Polish quest to capture Warsaw and Cossack to capture Kyiv should be done quickly since other Lords might take those and you won't be able to complete the quest. You can freewheel as long as you like.
