Just go to the different villages (not towns) and scavenge for resources. sometimes a guy standing perfectly still called 'trader' will give them to you through, ironically enough recruitment dialog, but instead of men you get sacks of grain icons. then you go back to an actual 'town' select explore the town, then go to the town leader, then click 'trade resources for men' you'll get about 1 rifleman per 3 rescources, or 1 villager for 1

Oh yeah, also you can recruit mercs in the bar just like in native, but it's kind of hard sometimes to sort though people who you can hire, and just bystanders. usually, if they 'look' like someone who you can hire, they are.

my inventory is filled with resources but it keep saying that i have no resources to trade -.-

Tried joining a faction and that made it possible, i dont want to join a faction want my own faction with US troops
