Hello, how do you make money in 1.143? I allways got like 25 k. per trip with caravan ,but now I get about 2k. And in the marketplace there are enough goods to fill only small or medium caravan. How do you get money in the newest version of the game? Thanks and have a good day

40 million I have. I started with trade. Just click on the research prices, and bought powder whenever it was cheap. Finally having got 150k, I took Smolensk from the Poles. It has probably the biggest total of villages. And onwards.

For me, I sell honey, powder and Vodka.

do not bother the caravan, it is unprofitable.

Simply by all item I mentioned above for less than 50 and go to any town or castle.
Try running all over the map, many towns will buy food items at incredibly price,
such as the town that has been siege.

The the highest price I have found for honey is around 2000, 3000 for powder and vodka.

I don't know if it is a bug or not, but it is worked for me.

Trade is what you need.

Buy food in villages, sell in fortresses - the best for me are meats, but other - grapes, cabbages, fruits, wheat, cheese and other as well.

You can buy powder in city for 100-250 and sell in fortress for 900-1100.

In fortresses buy beer and flour for about 30 and sell in villages for 100 or more.

In the same time, choose one city where you have access to merchant guild and do missions for the mayor. When you reach 50 popularity, you can deposit your money for 20% a month.

Tarrus, i wonder what games you're playing ?

Never saw honey, powder or vodka under 70 for honey, 80 for Vodka and 112 for Powder, despite having 10(+4) Trade now, and i think that is not what you have in begninning.

lol thanks guys, this whole time i tried running around only doing mayor missions and caravans, drooling over dutch pistols.

so in reality i just need to ghengis khan errbody, glad we cleared that up

do quests to get about 1-2K in the start, then
get caravans to get about like 50K
then start gathering renown, or rob caravans to start wars with people and capture their castle/fort

It's much easier to make money in Fire&Sword then Warband . I personally in about 75 in-game days of hardcore trading managed to gather about 500 k .

I used to trade mainly Powder , Spices, Velvet , Honey . I also used the caravan in cities with lots of cheap goods , put 3 soldiers to guard it and accompany the caravan to the destination , gaining about 1.5k to 3k. And do occasionally some missions from city's mayors for experience & money. Use ctrl+space to speed up the movement on map.

If you have more than 10k , deposit the money in a city/castle to gain interest.

Keep doing that for 60-70 days , and you'll be rich . Once you have over 300k , start thinking to buy crafted armor/pistol/helmet , and with the interest from 300k you can maintain an army of 100 elite mercenaries.

Now you're ready to do one of the main quests or make your own kingdom

Personally I find that the new trade system is fair and is really perceptible for making cash. Once you get 50k in a bank and become a merc, you can maintain your forces just with the interest and the loot from the battles you win.  This is for early, mid game.

The best way for me to keep my money early game is to use merc Musketeers, really low maintenance and surgical with the rifles.
