Capturing noble quests?
Just how do you make your men knock him out rather then kill him? Its fine for yourself and characters in giving yourself blunt weapons but what of regular soldiers?
My two ways.
First save the game, then order your men to attack by themselves. Save again when the nobleman is wounded, and then go clean up with your men in next encounter screen.
Or
Go in with your party, but take any missile or sharp ammo away from Marnid and Borcha. Equip yourself, Marnid and Borcha with blunts. Tell your group to hold position and go after the nobleman yourself (this usually works best with the jousting lance.
Tell rest of party to hold position at spawn. Kill all the escorts yourself, and subdue the nobleman. I like the combination of jousting lance, bow and two slots of arrows. Kinda cheesy, but works..
tell yr party to hold position, then ride out solo, find the noble, piss him off, and run around while the enemy gets strigned out, tell yr guys to charge, still runnign around, once they get to ya, knock out the noble
noble man quest is so easy to finished!just go and knock him down by yourself! wield a B type weapon!then speed up,go attack him!champion charger normally can help you with a 100% speed bonus!
I always put the nobleman's corpse on a horse, than I tell the mission giver that said nobleman is dead drunk and collect the bounty. Later on when I'm looking for a new mission from the boss that I sold the dead nobleman to I just say "You mean he died? What did you do to him? I think he was on drugs." Works every time. I'm just kidding I hate capture the nobleman.
Its usually like
"HOLD THIS POSITION"
*scouts enemies, sees no noblemen"
*CHARGE*
And hold fort again, when i see noblelad. then i go cuddle him with my mace.
Wield a jousting lance and a balanced warhammer on a fast horse. Ignore all other troops while telling your guys to hold position at starting location.
Couching the bastard with jousting lance is probably the quickest though warhammer is nice if you dismount him or are really bad with a lance.
