How do instruments work?

Not sure if this has been answered elsewhere but I could not find it.

What range do instruments have?
Do different instruments have different buffs
Can buffs stack?
Do the different tunes have different buffs?
Can the buff effect everyone in range or is it limited?
Do instrument buffs stack with banner and officer buffs?

10 meters by default, can be changed in the admin panel

Yes
Can buffs stack?
Yes, but with diminishing returns
Do the different tunes have different buffs?
No
Can the buff effect everyone in range or is it limited?
Everyone in range on your team
Do instrument buffs stack with banner and officer buffs?
Yes

A couple more questions.
What buffs are given by the different instruments?
Also what are the buffs from banners and officers?
Has anyone done the math for ideal group compositions to get the most out of buffs while preserving firepower?
