Well, that's the question, How do I start a rebellion and become the leader of it? What do I have to have (renown, number of troops, money, honor...) I'm a vassal of the kingdom of Vaegirs and I have 1 fief just, its a village. So what do I have to have to start a rebellion?

Thanks for reading

Be a chap and do some searching willya? I saw about four threads about rebellion running.

Anyhoo, to support a claimant you need the same amount of renown you'd need to become a vassal 120-160.
To start your own rebellion, you need to be a vassal, capture a castle, ask for it, have the offer declined, and an option should op up then.

Or just attack a NPC on the map (Be it Caravan or Lord) and once you get into the negative rating with that faction, lay siege to a castle or city and capture it.  A la rebel.

I did Search for a topic about rebellion, but I didn't find the answer. Thanks for the replies. I've started a rebellion supporting Lethwing far-seeker, or what ever the name is he he. Anyway, I've captured all the castles, got 4 lords on my side, o though 3 of them left and went to another faction ... So anyway, I've got every single Nord town, castle and village, but I still haven't won the rebellion, so how do I win the rebellion? :S How can those Nords be without any lands and still be out there? I tried chasing them but they all run like rats!! They besieged one of my castles, then I got there and saw them all there, all 15 lords with 50 troops each. So I get there with my 90, and insted of them attacking me altogether, they just run in different directions!! I'll take a photo some day, showing how 15 lords run in different directions...So I'm forced to go with a small cavalry force, about 40 knights and mercenary horseman with my heroes, but they still run and I'm forced to go and get one of them, defeat him, but he  gets away, wow, what a surprise  not...I still remember when I was with Lord Irya besieging Thir, the last town. All 15 lords there, with a garrison of nearly a 1000! Still remember attacking, killing 50 men, retreating, assaulting 2 days later, and so on...It had just about 15 days of food in the town, but they where still lasting with nearly 200 men. Anyway, luckily I made it and killed them all, finally!!! But what a surprise, I only captured 2 of the 15 lords...Which I sold back by the way, had to pay my army...And now the Swadians have attacked me, and I'm everywhere trying to keep my possesions and fighting them...Run out of options...

Sorry for my English, even though I speek it well, Spanish is my first language.

No worries, you're doing good.

As to finishing the rebellion, sometimes the script goes off, and fails to trigger, we don't know yet why, but most likely because there are some ood parties running here and there. Search for and hunt for all Nerd parties, village farmers, caravas, lords. If you are having trouble, use the cheat that allows you to see all.

As to the small parties running away, now ay around it, just dunp sme of your soldiers into a castle, and hunt them with your NPCa, lightweight. You won't catch a 15 men party with 90 men without obscene amounts of pathfinding anyway.

As for Swadians attack, from my experience, only the first wave of attacks in really dangerous, when they can have 200-300 men parties gathered from previous wars. Just break them during their first campaign, and they'll have to resort to 50 men parties with mostly recruits. If you want to be safe from odd skirmishers, work on your friendly lords (I assume you've converted some) lead them with you, attack parties with many prisoners to have them grow in numbers, then use the 'move to' and 'patrol around' command to place them near the borders, so that their big parties will scare off assailants.

This may be hard to do, if you are running fantically around, saving castles and villages, but try it if you get a moment of breath.

Thes info are true for 952, btw. as I haven't had the chance to play 953 yet. I heard in the new version you can (suposedly) give troops to lords, so that makes things a bit simple. Oter stuff should be fairly universal.

I can already give troops to friendly lords and I'm playing 0.952 he he.
About the lords, i did get 5 on my side, o thought 3 deserted to other kingdoms (%&·$!, he he), one is...Actually, I haven't heard about him for a long long time, about 20 days (game days). And the other guy has only got like 13 guys and he's always getting captured and me always rescuing him...Hey I rescued a lord from my party and you know what they say ''thank you I owe you my life'' or that sort of stuff, and the next minute, really the next minute or earlyer, it says that he's deserted!!! so much for ''I owe you my life'' thing...Anyway, against the swadians I've captured 4 lords and defeated all of them in a mayor battle near Tehrlog castle, me and Irya (200 troops) vs King Harlaus and about 10 lords (1000 troops) It was battle after battle after battle...Anyway I was left with 30 troops, Irya with 5 and we destroyed all the swadians and captured 4 lords...Anyway sold them all for like 5000 denars each and got a good sum of money to recruit hired blades and mercenaries.
I want to make peace with them, but they won't have it :???:

The say: ''JD, you're a Lord with no master, holding lands in your name and of no kingdom, and until that remains, no king would sign peace with you'' or something like that...Anyway, I don't want to get with the Rhodoks because they're at war with the Vaegirs, no need for another enemy thank you, and the same for the Vaegirs. The kheright are at war with both! So...nothing I can do really

I've had numerous situations where the stupid King didn't give me the castle or city I took, it gave me only two options, 1. To just put up with it, 2. To renounce... which just left me without any holdings... haven't seen anything about starting a rebellion.

JD your story of rebellion has entertained me a lot. Now there is one thing I've noticed. That being your posts seem similar to a captain's log or warlord's journal. Anyway good luck with that and annihilate them all.

FOR THE REBELLION!!

he he thanks, I didn't have that intention but as you like it i will tell the next part of the rebellion:

Everything is going sort of crappy, my friend Irya got captured by some Nord Lord while I was recruiting mercenaries and recruits in villages near Thir, ready to reconquer Sargoth, which has fallen in to Swadian hands, bast*rds  Anyway, I have to options:

1:Go look for my good friend Irya
2:Go conquer Sargoth which has only got 100 garrison at the moment, don't know why, but hey, swadians are idiots :???:

Well I decided to go and conquer Sargoth, which I did in 5 days and then I went looking out for my friend Irya. Went over 10 days looking for him when I finally found him running about near Suno after escaping obviously, that is after I fought half Calradia . Anyway, a gave him 30 troops and told him to follow me. We went to Sargoth and rested there for 2 days, good time for my troops to recover and train the nord recruits, now 20 veteran nord soldiers .
Then I went to Curaw, yes, Curaw of the kingdom of Vaegirs. Might sound like suicide leaving hardly any troops behind except Irya in Sargoth with 30 troops and the 50 garrison and a handfull of soldiers in the frontier castles with the swadians.
The reason I went to Curaw was because I was looking for Lady Isolla of Suno (or something like that) to try and help her with the swadians as I was already at war with Swadia, I had nothing to loose and a lot to win. But hey, I was still with Lethwing farseeker, or something like that xD So 2 days trip for nothing, but hey, at least I didn't get attacked on the way there or the way back, or my possesions attacked...That was worrying, where the Swadians building up for an all-out campaign against me? Well, sort of...The sent 5 armyes with around 60 troops each to besiege Sargoth and sent apparently the rest of the army to get the Rodocks, or so I suspected. Going on with the swadians besieging Sargoth, the tried to assault twice, but they just couldn't get through the walls, they just got stuck at the ladder, so they lost and I didn't loose much, just 20 men for their 200, then they went with their swords between their legs he he.
Now the Nords were raiding ambean I think it was, so I went there, defeated them losing 60 men for their 120. They still escaped, bast*rds
So there I am, going up and down doing what I can to live...Got my 100 men ready with the 100 men of lord Irya, our next plan? Go to Praven and give those swadians a taste of sword in their own land  It's a shame though, I really appreciated the swadians and did them a lot of favours, I use to have +20 relation with all they're lords, but hey, things change and here I am, the man who I thought as a friend is now a days trip away about to get slain, King Harlaus...

Left the game there, will continue soon he he, how do you think I'm doing?

 JD you have yourself quite the tale here. Are we going to be hearing tales of the ledgendary King JG?  (Or marshal at least lol XD)

I wish i became ''Legendary'' he he

Well I continued with my game for a few days (game days that is of course).

Irya and I were best mates now (100 relation with him ). We were on our way to Praven when be got attacked by guess who, Mr Harlaus. Well he had 100 men and was with two Lords (70 men each), that made a total of 240 men against my 200 men (100 mine and 100 of Irya aprox.). The battle went quite well, can't say the same about Harlaus, he got pretty done...They lost all their men (either captured or killed) and I captured one Lord but not Harlaus!! I know I say this all the time but...Bast*rd xD
Anyway I lost 20 men and 40 wounded, just about the same for Irya, o tho he got 30 killed and 50 wounded). So after this battle we went and camped near praven, on the village nearby, looting it and stuff. Then we besieged Praven. Praven had 2 Lords in it and 120 garrison, apart of the 80 of the other lords inside. We besieged it for nearly a week, 6 days to be exact, and we decided to attack, well, actually I decided, Irya just does what I tell him to .
The battle wasn't easy, nearly got slaid in the first 5 minutes! But thanks to my good old Reinforced steel shield (I use two of those in some sieges, then a Balanced Bastard sword and a lance or something, a polearm or a great war axe for getting those swadian scum blown at the first blow, I used the greatwar axe here and got those swadians some Nord Rebels style .
Then my men got to the walls, my 30 hired blades. It was all over for the swadians now, even though more and more men kept spawning right beside them, they were killed as fast as they appeared. We took the walls, now the battle was on the streets, and as soon as they tried to defend themeselves, they were killed...They didn't have a chance. Now for the castle...Finally we got in and killed all of the defenders within 20 seconds or less. The battle for Praven was over and it only lasted 6 days...That should show some Rebel power, at least for the moment. After this we rested in Praven and I took a look on the casualties:

Mine:
6 Hired blades dead
18 Nord veterans killed and 12 wounded

Irya:
12 Hired blades killed and 3 wounded
9 Nord recruits killed and 13 wounded
3 Nord veterans killed and 6 wounded

Enemy:
All dead except some few who were imprisoned. Also I captured both Lords, luckily.

After some 3 days I went and conquered the castles around Praven with Irya and in less than 9 days we captured 2 castles and many villages that came with them. The war seems to be going quite well, but I know that the real next decisive battle will come...Some day...

I left it there and will continue soon, hope you like it
