How do I edit troop stats of someones mod (for my own personal use)

I've been playing the TLD (lotr) mod lately. I've noticed that the elves are very overpowered of which many seem to state online as well. I'd love to be able to just edit the troop stats of their units to balance out my campaign games and make them more fun. What's the easiest way to do this?

I used morph editor of which is the one above, to edit dwarves (from TLD mod)... the armor etc upgrades when i look at the units in my party tab... but the skills dont. Also the dwarves have now bugged out and have floating human heads.

The old Troop Editor by HokieBT still works on TLD, I think.
