How do I completely reinstall?

Im having some issues with warband so Ive tried uninstalling, but when I do that and reinstall I keep my configuration and it never asks me for the CD key, how do I completely get rid of warband?

You'll want to clear the registry and stuff stored under your Windows UserName.

Registry entries are stored:

Hit the Windows Key and R, which will bring up a Run... window.
Then type "regedit" in that window and press enter.

Once there, navigate the tree to the location I indicated:

HKEY_CurrentUser->Software->MountAndBladeWarbandKeys

In UserName\Documents\Mount&Blade Warband\ you'll have the rgl_config file that you should delete.
In UserName\AppData\Roaming\  you'll find a Mount&Blade Warband folder. Delete the whole folder if you want it completely fresh.

My configurations have been reset and the game doesn't crash every 3 seconds anymore, however it still didn't ask me for my serial key, so I think I'm using the trial version now...how do I upgrade it to the full version?

If you can get on a multiplayer server you have the full game so try that
