How did you find this wonderful game.

got into total war series (so into it that although istarted on medieval 2 i went and bough shogun and medieval and rome....) Got obsessed jumping between all 4. My wife hated the fact she bought shogun for me as i played that one all night. i spent most of my time on medieval 2 especially after i found the LOTR mod. Than in the middle of an epic defense of osgiliath i watched as 3 of my archrs died to a single swordsmen and i was thinking man i wish i could  control them. i need something real. so i googled most realistic medieval game. found this. demo didnt sell it to me actually. i forgot about it. warband came out. i saw this on teh total war forums. i got the demo but it seemed basically the same as M&B. heard it got multiplayer (yes im guilty here.) i got an illegal version played one game of multiplayer was sold. i bought the game soon as my first round was done. I currently own WFAS as well. (should have demoed that one though) im seriously considering buying the original to suport the devs as well as to make up for my 5 minutes of deathmatch. What really has me addicted now was buying Elder scrolls: oblivion. i discovered RP. I am now a Fierce Shield Warrior called Uhtred Thorson Terrorizing villages off the coast of Brytenwalda.

I was on the World of Gothic forums sometime in 2005.  Someone had asked why Gothic didn't have horses.  Someone else replied that putting horses in games was difficult.  A third person responded by saying that an indie developer had done a good job in their game, so how hard could it be?

I followed the link and downloaded the demo.  That was .751.  The game started in Zendar and to be honest, I thought it was a bit of a joke.  However, that all changed when I had my first taste of mounted combat against some river pirates.  I bought a serial key soon after and have played regularly since.

Mount & Blade and Warband are without a doubt, two of the best games ever developed.  I don't know why my friends are so idiotic and don't see that...

I was on a website called Mofunzone, looking through their downloadable games section. Accidentally clicked on Mount and Blade, and the picture they used (knights charging down a hill) just caught my interest. Downloaded the demo of like version 0.75, back when it was only Swadians and Vaegirs. Played it a bit, was mildly entertained, then one day I was playing and it just kind of hit me, I had to have this game. After 3 months of begging my parents, they bought it for me. I've been a loyal M&B fan since then.

It's funny to think about it, but had I not accidentally clicked M&B, chances are I never would have heard of it.

Quick edit to the poster above me, Zendar was the name of the town I couldn't remember. So much fun shooting the NPC's in there with my crossbow XD

Started playing so long ago I cant remember when.  I know that I saw something on the SWG forums about the game and thought I would try it.  I bought it  for 9 bucks(I think) about 2 weeks later.  I stopped once it went live because I couldnt play it on my computer due to problems from the release.  Think I will try again, just to see if they fixed some of the issues they had.

Steam Demo, played it religiously for a very long time until i accidentally stumbled across it in a game store, bought it immediately

Saw videos on YouTube of the original Mount & Blade. Started playing that in version .808. The rest is applesauce.

Four years of Mount&Blade.

I read about Warband in a Gameplay magazine.  I read about all the features and installed the Warband demo. I instantly fell in love.

I was watching this one guy on youtube called DiplexHeatedHD and I saw one of his vids featuring a napoleanic mod for Warband. I decided to look it up and found out that the actual game was in medieval times. I then thought: even better.

When I first started playing, it was ALL i ever played!

I was supposed to be working, but instead I was browsing the internet looking for a fun new game.  I found some random list of "Top 100 Games EVER," and scrolled through tons of them.  Somewhere through the list, I saw Warband.

The thought of being like Braveheart and getting 30 guys to charge with me towards a castle sounded pretty awesome (), so I picked up the game (like 2 weeks after it came out) and played SP until I hit the trial level cap.  I was thoroughly impressed, but I just kind of let it fall off the radar.

Towards Thanksgiving 2010, they had a steam sale and I bought Warband for $4 off Amazon Downloads.  After playing a bit more SP, I decided to give MP a try.

AND IT WAS GREAT

Now, as I sit here writing this, I wonder how much better I'd be at this game if I had just bought it and played MP when I originally tried it out  All those wasted months...

It isn't wise to say you had a pirated version, even if you did buy the game eventually.

i first found the game when i was looking around for a kind of fps but with swords instead and stumbled it on a youtube video and then it captivated my mind ever since..

Because of this, mainly.

While I had heard about the game for a while it wasn't until RPS decided to pay some attention to it that I decided to give it a try. So I did.

Had an awful start as khergit. Ragequit for a few months, then decided to give it another try. And then I fell in love with the game.

Later I found tEatRC, and all was set.

I played the demo a couple of years back, and couldn't really get into it - it was hard to figure out what to do and it all looked a tad shoddy. Then I saw it in the Steam sale a few months back, and I'd heard about the mods at that point, so I re-tried the demo and decided to buy the game. So glad I did.

Many years ago a friend of my twin brother recommended him the game, we decided to play it while it was still on the earliest stages of its development.

I spawned outside zendar as did we all back in the days. When I entered town I was talking to some npcs and before I knew it I was in a "arena" as they call it. Looked like a dirt ring to me. I was on a horse while wielding a lance.

My first impression was "Wtf is this ****?" "How do I shot web?" and later "Oohh so that's how I attack." I got defeated and tried again because I wanted revenge. Then I got addicted to it. The combat was just so unique.

I was playing some Age of Empires 2 with some friends who told me about it. I played SP for awhile as my time was filled with work and WoW () After i quit WoW i made my way into the MP scene and have been no lifing it since.

Searched at Amazon for a nice game, found Mount and Blade ( I ! ). Played it a lot.

-- time passed --

I heard about Mount and Blade: Warband . I wanted to buy it but :
-no money
-Steam -.-

So I was forced to use a pirate version (shame on meh.. ) .. But this sucked because I just could connect to funny Russian severs and the SP was buggy. So I stoped playing it .. And .. BUYED the real game, with steam (-.-). But I like it. I love it. I wont ever use pirate versions again the legal version is WAY better.

Ouch, banhammer struck him.

This game rocks though, still gives me a lot of amusement in single player.

Nothing special, was searching for either rts or rpg since i was getting a little bored of AoEIII, found Mount&Blade on IGN (although i saw weird things about Warband and came to the conclusion it was an unreleased expansion i wouldn't need to worry about). Found it quite cheap on amazon, bought, played quick battle the day it came and from then on loved it and played little else.

Then just a few months before warbands release i had just gotten an internet connection on my own computer and saw that it included multiplayer, i was very excited i read up all i could on it. Until the day of its release when i downloaded it from taleworlds, loved it and played little else til now.

Hmm, well, it was a long time ago. I bought M&B at its 0.155 version, I think. I know that it was 2006 but I don't remember much, as I was 14 at the time. It's all blurry. I remember playing it till .808 and The Last Days mod. As to how I found it, I think it was through a gaming magazine. Ah, good times.
