How awesome were the 90's? PRETTY AWESOME

It was decent enough, I guess. Can't really remember anything from the 90's personally, but looking at Wikipedia, it wasn't exactly horrible though.

A fun thing that I remenber is that Kurt Cobain and Axl Rose (pretty much the biggest stars at that time) almost got into a fight during the MTV awards at THE PARK TRAILER. Now, my memory may be failing me, but I think at that time the biggest rock stars had to wait in freaking trailers before getting on stage.

Truly a wonderfull example.

Damn! You made me doubt about the 90's. Well played sir, well played indeed.

Consider,

The 80's gave us win

While the 90's managed to produce fail

Well, thank you Eino, your post was a great contribution to the thread.

I wish more people posted content as good as Eino. Don't knock it.

But I agree the 80's gave us win and even MORE win!.
Damn that was awesome Eino. So awesome you must be an 80's kid.

I don't wanna get into the debate, cuz I think I would probably side the 80's.  Androgynous rockstar looks is where it's it.

However, 90's were when Jordan first retired, 98 was a good year.

Interneeet!
1989, though they didn't start letting in the hoi polloi until the nineties (when things went rapidly downhill). Of course you always had BBS and Usenet before that, both of which were generally of a better standard than the modern internets (it's amazing how much the signal to noise ratio changes when people are paying by the minute).

Fallout, Diablo etc.
Inspired by Wasteland and Rogue respectively. Although really Diablo could be seen as a modernisation of the old Halls of the Things series which is really a half way stage between the two, although 2D you still had randomly generated dungeon levels, character advancement and the ability to find phat loot (although your inventory was limited to four slots IIRC).

and in general, 80's were better for most stuff except stuff that happened after about 10pm.  Like pub closing times, nightclub playlists, DJs (just any DJs) ...  that was a bit better in the nineties, I has to admit.

And the recognition of the Jelly Bean as a legal drink.

We kind of had a major genocide and slaughter around here in the 90's, and a dictator for a President to go with it.

So, I prefer the 00's.

I was too busy playing with my Nintendo64 and such to pay attention to the other things during the 90s.

When I think of the things that came out of the 80's and out of the 90's, I have to say, the 80's win out every time.

Basically.
