Hey everyone,
I am very disappointed at the amount of time I have had to waste looking for a fix to my issue. What I want is simple: to host a server where my friend and I can play in peace against bots etc. Whenever I host a game or he hosts a game we cannot see the game on the server list. I have tried pretty much everything I could find about this topic like:
-forward ports 7240, 7241, firewall, blah blah
-uncheck valve anti-cheat
-turn off server filter
-download taleworlds' dedicated server files and run a server thru that
I felt like I made some progress when we both turned to Hamachi, but I was again stumped when we tried to connect to each other. We could see each other in a LAN game, but when either of us tried to join we would get the dreaded "Incorrect Authorization" bs.
I have searched hours on every forum that has to do with these issues and it seems like nothing ever gets solved for anyone with my problem (especially the Incorrect Auth. thing). Btw we both have LEGIT copies of MB warband. bought from steam and amazon.
So if ANYONE, ANYONE AT ALL has a suggestion to either bypass the Incorrect Auth. for LAN or get my game on the general server list, PLEASE HELP. I am getting so frustrated that buying a 10 slot server for $8 just for the two of us does not seem like such a bad deal. Even though I definitely shouldn't have to.
