Yeah it would be another great addition for hardcore mode, instead of the vanilla calendar available to us 24 hours. you to find/buy an hourglass and learn tecchniques for finding north. quests should be given, but they tell us the direction, such as, "talk to rhagaea about neretzes folly, you can find her east of lycaron, 30 kilometers" the quest does not update the direction if she moves from place(this can get hard for players so..) rulers\key npcs should not move around that much, actually, our history suggests that most rulers, no matter how benevolent, would not risk their lives, unless absolutely necessary, and stay in their keeps, safe. only certain lords, with aggressive/impulsive traits, would venture out with their armies seeking fights. also, if someone enters my territory, i would not wish to go there myself, so i can order a separate posse of my finest men, or hired mercenaries(yeah mercenary clans need improvements too) to move forward in my stead. i can assign a companion to lead them.
