Hosting servers upon EA release?

This is a question to Callum, unless someone has already seen an answer to this in the forums somewhere. Can we please have some sort of confirmation about the ability to host private servers upon the release of the game in Early Access?

It has been confirmed it's not going to be a thing on release in Early Access, but may or may not come during it.

Then what the hell is the Oceanic community going to do? No self hosted servers or official matchmaking servers? This will literally destroy the scene before it can even begin. No one, and I mean NO ONE, is going to want to play competitively in Oceania if they have to wait months/years for a server just so we can play with half decent ping.

I'm not sure when we will share server files for the game, but it most likely won't be at the start of Early Access.

You guys need to start picking up your game seriously. You guys can be the best company but also the worst at times. You are going to lose thousands of Oceanic players if you dont give us private servers or public Oceania ones. You have had 8 years to sort this out.

SA is actually in the same situation right now, our lowest ping will be around 180 in multiplayer, it honestly sucks.

Yeah, anything over 100 in warband is essentially unplayable from a competitive standard. My best ping to chinese servers is around 230.

Will will be offering more server locations at EA than what we offer right now in the beta, I just can't confirm precisely what regions those will be right now.

We will be sharing more info about the EA before the game goes on sale so hopefully we will be able to discuss MP servers as a part of that announcement.

Thanks Callum, that gives us a glimmer of hope for our regions. We appreciate you responding and giving us some clarity, even though you can't confirm anything specific. We'll be eagerly waiting to hear more, and try to remain hopeful.

I cooperate with the G-portal, I know that they still have a contract with the developers of the "Scum" game and for more than a year now they have been giving the opportunity to exclusive server rental to everyone, while not allowing access to the server files (server tenants do not have access to server files). Ref link with a permanent discount of 5%. Just in case you need it. If anything, delete it.

Will you also be able to address how the in-game administration is going to look like? Whether we'll just be provided with a report button or if there will be a bunch of actual admins. The common thing to do is to put the official public servers on top of the serverlist and just have some official admins overlook the servers to negate for any overly toxic behavior.

Second of all, will you also be able to address when or how we might expect self-hosted servers? TDM tends to get tedious after a few rounds without any structure, players will then seek other game-play or games. Community servers are thus able to provide alternative experiences.
