Horses in Inventory

I remember in the original M&B, having extra horses in your inventory was supposed to increase your travel speed.  In practice, I found that it mostly just took up slots in your inventory.  Has this changed in Warband?

And also, about feinting;  I've been practicing practicing practicing, but I don't think I get it.  What I can accomplish is a swing, followed by a really quick block, followed by a swing from the other direction, but I feel like this is more a technique than a new feature.  Am I missing something, or is that it?

AFAIK the horse thing is the same in Warband as the original.
It influences travel speed more depending on how much stuff you have in your inventory. So if it's full of heavy crap, a horse or two can make a significant difference.
Also you can heal horses by leaving them in your inventory for a while.

Feinting isn't a new feature, it just isn't as useful against bots as it is against human players, hence its prominence in MP.

It's neither bug nor feature. The bots could do it in the original Mount & Blade, and I suppose it's really just a side-effect of the melee functionality. Indeed, it has evolved into a technique from that.

While it meets with varying success in multiplayer, in singleplayer the bots always fall for it. Always. Use it to your advantage.
