does anyone else feel that the horse combat feels off especially when trying to melee enemy footmen i miss my swings half the time it feels very strange compared to warband. There also seems to be a few texture glitches here and there but overall im enjoying the game. ill probably start using a spear on horseback tbh

No, I've been having the same feels man, I can't seem to aim low It always swings above their heads or is out of reach but visually isn't. -And I'm bragging here but I'm damn good as Heavy Cav in warband

Yes that's what it's like for me my weapons go traight through them and don't register at all I've even had it where a enemy spearmen hit me through my own troop so I think the hit boxes are a little bit off on the weapons

I share a similar view. In my first battle I have noticed that it's difficult to hit anyone with a sword from horseback.

On the Beta board, there was a thread about it, it appears that the swing angle is different from warband, you sword goes much higher then in warband, now you have to aim very low to hit with one-handed weapons

I feel like the usual strategy in SP for many other people too was horseback + one hander, sometimes with a lance. It feels much worse in Bannerlord SP.

That does seem to make sense

I was really struggling to hit enemies consistently at first, but after I took a break and came back I was doing much better. The animations and system seem quite different from warband, but give it some time to get used to.

I agree. Hit boxes seems way off.

100% agree it was the first really jarring thing i experienced when i started playing on foot is fine but on a horse good luck hitting literally anything, i think its a weapon reach issue or perhaps hit detection? either way its really off-putting i hope its fixed soon

I feel the long glaive is a very powerful weapon on a horseback. High swing damage and it can be couched!

Yeah the swing seems to go way higher and the angle adjustment is unevenly distributed such that you have to pull waaay down to swing low at which point it suddenly becomes extremely sensitive and difficult to aim.

I was having issues with this at first but then I bought a longer sword. I think I'm using a spatha now and am having no issue with hitting anything.

Yeah, having the same feeling here. 1h + Horse is a horrible combination now. I am using imperial lance which is kinda effective for the moment (maybe too much effective).

Yeah I agree. Basically gave up on 1-handed weapons as soon as I'd tried one. Honestly, the couched lances feel way worse too. They bob around so you don't know where they're aiming and seem to have a much shorter range than is reasonable. I keep getting hit by infantry with swords, axes and maces when trying to couch them. Never mind enemies with lances because they'll just always win...

Yeah, I've been using the imperial lance and it's by far the best weapon I've found so far. The damage numbers are insane compared to most other weapons. It's got 135 cut damage on the slices and about 100 piercing damage on stabs. On horseback the swings are wide and easy to hit with too.
Most other weapons seem to have about 30-50 damage. There are one or two other ones with over 100 damage but it seems like the devs decided to change the damage system at some point but left in some old, super powerful weapons or something.
