Horse/ Horse Armour system

I love horses, they are a great animal, and almost as friendly as a dog, and far more use in a battle than any other animal.
I thought that the horses wheren't detailed enough in native, and although i don't have the modelling skills, time or scripting capabilities to do this I decided to post my ideas in the hope that even a part of it will be used in the further versions of Mount & Blade.
Firstly rather than buying a horse with a generic name, It would be better if you bought a horse by what breed it is,

Most of these breeds are evidenced to have been used in the medieval period bar a few that i just personally like.

Breeds:
Ahkal Teke

Andalusian

Asturian

Bashkir

Breton

Caspian

Frisian (suggested by Frisiandude)

Then have a special slot for horse Armour that you could purchase from the armorer,
amour types would be:
Cloth:

Leather:

Chain: same as native War horse

Reinforced chain: same as native Charger

Plate:

Heraldic:

Mixed plate, Scale & Lammellar(suggested by Armatus) :

This is just what I think, Horses should be the most important part of a game called Mount & Blade surely.

Yes, I love the irony in that M&B is not very detailed when it comes to horses yet it is called Mount and Blade. :P

WAAAAA!!!?!??!?!?!?!?!?!
Why they are such noble and kind animals it would be like eating your brother or your dog!!!!
You should eat worthless animals like cows, chickens, sheep, pigs etc. XD WHAT AN ENGLISH VIEW

Pigs are more intelligent than horses :P. The only reason we think horses are more 'noble' than other animals is because they are more useful to us humans. Or if they we find them cute, like cats or dogs. Just because pigs make noise and are dirty they are worthless? Kinda narrow-minded. You could say a squid or a mussle is worth less than a horse, simply because they have no counciousness, and no brain, and no emotions. They are like plants who don't produce their own food out of sunlight and minerals. But most of the animals we eat have a brain, so they are not less 'good' than a horse.

And I don't think the English eat horse meat.

Besides, I don't even like horse meat :P. I just can't stand it if people make a hierarchy between intelligent animals.

I highly agree with an implementation or horses breeds and armour. They are just awesome and could have a nice impact in gameplay and in realism.

@kingofnoobia
pigs are indeed more intelligent but they are only good as a food source nothing more, they can't aid us more than dying and us eating their flesh.
sheep are stupid - FACT they can distinguish colour and that's about it.
chickens are just, well, chickens, they cluck they lay eggs and when they stop laying we eat them too -better than pigs by miles

narrow minded ha ha maybe but pigs can't really do much to benefit me other than die....
wheras horse are like a dog, for friendship and are a means of transportation across the battlefield

There are a couple of mods with different horse breeds, instead of the generic "courser", "hunter" etc. There's also this mod (WIP) http://forums.taleworlds.com/index.php/topic,52108.0.html

I would like to see a greater variety of horses in Native, however.
