Horse disappearing from Inventory

First, is there a list of known bugs somewhere? I looked around but didn't see one.

Now to my problem.
My horse disappeared from my equipped inventory. There are several different things which happen, I'm not sure of their order though.
-Whatever horse I am using is replaced with a Lame Courser.
-The horse disappears entirely from the inventory slot.
I'm not sure if my mount is "downgraded" to the Lame Courser, and then that is "downgraded" to nothing via some bug, or if it's just random, but those are the two things I've noticed happening.
Also, it either spreads to older saved games, or it's been 20 or so days since I was downgraded to the Courser and I just never noticed.
In my oldest save game, which is about 50 days past, I still have my Spirited Courser.

It might possibly have something to do with my horse dying during battle? I was unhorsed a few times, and this last time was when the horse was removed totally from my inventory.

I also noticed this happening in with my saved games in the original M&B today (loaded and had a Lame Courser rather than my Hunter).

If your horse is killed in battle it can become downgraded to a lesser form say a Courser then becomes a Lame Courser so on. And sometimes the horse is killed in its entirety.

If you saw a "Horse Crippled" message while fighting then your horse is injured. When this happens the horse becomes "Lame" and if it had an item modifier, such as Spirited, Heavy, Champion etc. in front of it, that modifier will be lost and the horse becomes an ordinary horse. BTW, "Lame" horses heal in time.

The process is something like this:

Spirited Courser -> (CRIPPLED) -> Lame Courser -> (HEALS) -> Courser
Spirited Courser -> (CRIPPLED) -> Lame Courser -> (CRIPPLED) -> (Dead Courser)

If you continue to ride a lame horse, it cannot become crippled again, so it simply dies when injured and totally disappears from your inventory.

I love riding those Dead Courser there really good For Armor its almost as if he doesnt feel anything...Horrible speed though XD

Hmm, makes sense, though slightly annoying since that was a really expensive horse... stupid Swadian Knights and their lances. I'll have to watch out for that next time.
Thanks everyone!

There really needs to be a horse whistle in game, so you can call your horse back to you after you get off. 10 seconds after I dismount it turns into a normal horse in battle and runs away from people, so I can't mount back up :/

Give good horses to your companions. When they are used by companions, they won't lose their modifiers when hurt and won't die.

I also noticed one time in M&B (Regular) that if i exchanged the horse in the Market and then went back after i went out of the market of a town i could buy it back (The same horse in the same slot) with its modifier back I Sh** you not

I usually have a number of decent unmodded horses, coursers and such, for run of the mill battles, and a great one for tough ones. I rotate out the unmodded ones as they become lame so they can heal, so I never am in need of horses!

Cambells chicken noodle possiblitys XD but on a serious note some of the mods ive done ive cut it out to were if the horse dies it DIES they need to make it more realistic and as for all the people you can save through surg. Skill i think there should be some sort of even you do that give you the chance instead of this Auto crap... and the higher the skill the easier it is to complete it
