It would be REALLY useful to make the horses die after maybe 15-20 seconds of freedom. Because it's getting really disagreable to walk in the field and to get rushed and killed by errant horses...  :mad:

Also, i have no solutions for this (help me find some) but it would be really interesting to have the player obliged to stick together, move in formations, etc. Actually I have more the feeling that I'm playing with bots because everyone is moving arround like idiots and I'm the only one who orders tactics...  :neutral:

By example, my faction was all on foot, their were ruins not far from where we were figthing. Almost every ennemies were on horses with lances. I was the only who had the reflex to stick close to the ruins, making myself hard to attack and this, only by one side. Almost everyone died of course.. Me, only because of that basic tactic, I killed 6 players before dying...  :sad:
 
Well, you can kill horses with any weapon, so if you don't like them, just kill them!
 
Why are horses charging enemies.They don't know who is enemy or not.In reality they would avoid people once rider got thrown.
 
Yes, we all know this but while you do this, you get sneaked and killed very often. In real life, the horse would simply leave the battlefield because it's scared...
 
Maybe a movement script can do the job (the horse tends to flee to the border of the map, where it disappears).
 
The developers, based on the recent changes in the game, seem to keep a close watch on this forum. I have seen some changes in the new build that were merely casually mentioned on the forums.

So, yes, you are actively proposing it right now. I remember someone else proposing exactly these kinds of solutions (horses leave map) in prior threads. I assume TaleWorlds is trying to decide what the best option is.

Honestly, with 32 players on Ruins, Swadians v. Khergits, the number of errant horses is just a joke, it's ridiculous.
 
Vhell, i zhought it vhould be quite fun, if i played, maybe there can be a server setting if zhey run avay or stay on ze battlefield.  :lol:
 
Read the sticky threads. It's right there at the top. They have no intention of changing the manner in which horses behave. If they bother you, kill them. And they don't just charge enemies. They hit whoever is in their way. Furthermore, if you watch them, they already do avoid people; that's what gets them running in the first place.
