Honour and Right to rule.

Honour is like let's leader go, and turn down "blood money" when doing quest for hunt lawness man in village, as right to rule, I'm learnin, not too sure about that one.

R2R helps when you make your own kingdom, making other lords accept your rule. Honour makes honourable lords like you more, It seems to also help with the ladies.

Is this an automatic increase to their relation to you?

Like say I gain 5 honor. Will all honorable people increase their relation towards me by a certain amount? Or will their relation remain the same, but the honor value will help me with interactions?

Generally you'll find that honorable people have a slight increase in relation to you, while opposite for dirty cheaters. In my experience it is only a few points (+-3 or so).

I've heard honor is important for getting the "highly moral/admirable" wives.

By having high honor I have about 20 lords who has 30 relation and I've never talked to them before. There are some lords who have -3 relations to me as well, I assume that is because they don't like honorable people.

Thanks for the info.

What number in honor do you have?

I have to be honest I think if you have high honour or right to rule, your relation with certain lords will increase by 1 every in-game month. I've noticed that if you have a negative relation with a lord it increases by 1 every in-game month, but it's happened to non-enemy lords as well, so I've ended up quite popular amongst a certain group.

*Honour is aquired by refusing payment for quests such as "Hunt down -so and so-" (when you complete the quest, select "This is blood money, sir"), and for turning down quests that end wars (aquired through Guild Masters if your kingdom has been at war for quite a while, I don't know the rarity of the quest mind you). Honour is also gained by choosing to release Lords that yeild to you instead of imprisoning them, and freeing ally -- even enemy lords if they're captured and held prisoner.

**Right to rule is aquired by sending Companions off to do "PR missions" (talk to them from the party menu, select "I'd like to ask you something", and choose either "Do you have any connections we could use?" or "Do you know I aspire to be King/Queen of this land?", then allow them to go off and spread the good word). Right to rule is also aquired by having enemy soldiers in your party as prisoners, and then holding onto them until peace is declared. Your prisoners will be set free but you will gain right to rule.

I have about 90 honor right now. I'm not really sure when everyone started to like me. I wonder if by having high honor certain people gain reputation every month or exactly how it works. As far as gaining reputation with lords every so often, it is because if you have negative relations, you'll keep gaining +1 until you get 0 relations again. This will take a long time though.

RTR decreases the moral penalty when using the same faction troops as that your at war with as well.

Like I've said, people don't dislike you a whole lot. Only -3 at most. Unless that is a bug and it is supposed to be -30. Now, I am not sure if you have positive relations with one if they will start to hate you again or not though. One problem though is that many honorable lords are very loyal to their kings.

Are you sure about -3 at most? On the previous M&B, if you accepted the quest from a lady to restore her honor by fighting some mouthy lord, that lords liking of you dropped to -15 I remember.
I have not tried that quest on Warband yet - has it been removed?

Count Regas is cool, Count Mirchaud and Count Meltor suck though

Dueling a lord to force him to give up his suit towards a lady can cause relations drop as well. Beating them gives a -15 or so. Don't know what losing to them gives.

Honor greately increases your chances of making own kingdom, since when you get lots of honor - you get many lords just literally "love" you (for example I have about 250+ honor and have about 80-100+ relations levels with about 1/5 of all lords ingame) - the good thing about it - they more likely to join your faction when you ask them to (though since they honorable men - they'll most likely refuse when you ask them to renounce their oath - if they're not in too bad relations with their liege or you're have high persuade skill), but upon their faction defeat- they'll gladly join you and you'll have many lords in faction that will love you, and always ready to help.
Btw, easiest way to get honor is to release most enemy lords after battle, besides instant relation boosts with lord you also may get some extra relations boost when you meet them in a later date. Oh, and if a lord you've captured says something "Call back you dogs" (or says anything else about dogs - usually dishonorable scums and evil bastard types say that which hate you from start) capture it for good, since when you meet him next time, he'll accuse you of hummiliation to him and give -15 relations penalty.

Just to clarify, I mean -3 relations is what I've seen based purely off of honor. I've seen at least as many people that love me who I haven't talked to as I have also seen people who have -3 relations that I haven't talked to. Of course by doing something like dueling someone you can drop your relations lower. Breaking your oath to your king gets -20 relations with him for example.
