Now let me preface this by saying so far, I love it, combat is smooth and fun, the game is well optimized or at the very least my hardware is over the top for the game so im brute forcing good performance maybe? (8700k, 32gb RAM, and a 2080TI). Either way I love it however, the thing I want to discuss are the missing features or at least ones missing that we were all most likely expecting. Now, feel free to correct me at any point if I am wrong.

Far as I can tell starting your own kingdom is not possible, I have already broken off from a faction I was serving, seized a couple of fiefs from another kingdom as an independent and it gives me no kingdom options and no access to Kingdom options or policies, now perhaps there is another prerequisite (another clan joining you?)

Secondly, children, I was lead to believe at several points your character would be able to have children, and other nobles keep popping them out or at least thats what the games messages keep telling me on the left side of my screen. Now again this could be something I am missing as maybe its just an ambient thing that happens but there is no option for me to...do the dirty with my wife directly through dialogue so I figure its likely not included yet.

Again, I am loving gameplay so far and I understand completely its still in early access so some features may be missing however I do wish that there was more transparency with what would be missing, the kingdoms one being the big one.

Yea those features are indeed missing, but they did address that kingdom management (even creation) and some clan features (including the heir system afaik) is not in EA on day one when they announced the EA
I think they also noted a couple other features, but in general it should be the late game stuff that's missing. Their blogs/announcements are still up if you need the complete list.

It's on the steam page Early Access information <3 the part about single player says: "Singleplayer Features: Several planned single player features may be missing or incomplete. These include but are not limited to: full game controller support, some skill and perk effects, crafting, some aspects of sieges, and clan, army and kingdom management. "

Well to be fair, thats only saying "some parts may be missing, some don't".
I understand that they maybe didn't knew what would be ready for EA, but it is out now.
Would be nice to know what exactly is out now.

Its unnecessary frustrating when you try to figure out something, maybe report it as a bug at some point, just to see
that its something that is not done yet.

yeah like I said followering the quest line it gives you at the beginning does you some massive favors for answering questions, I got distracted when I started early early this morning and kind of boned myself on that main quest so i started over and focused on that quest and answered alot of questions I wont spoil the quest line itself but yeah.

AMAZING. This game is (almost) everything I had hoped it would be. But as a fan of its more strategic elements, there are a few disappointments.

Although I was able to sneak around a raider camp using crouch (absolutely fantastic!!!) I don’t believe my units could have joined me as I saw no ‘low profile’ formation. Im sad ambushes don’t appear to be in the game.

I’m also really disappointed skirmishes are still “Groups jog up to each other in lines until they clash”. A defending force (especially with ranged units) would never act this way. They would try to quickly position themselves on any high ground or checkpoint to allow for a retreat if necessary. In my opinion this also ties in to the ambush problem.

I’m going to make a post proposing what I believe would be the easiest implementation of more realistic and immersive combat scenarios. The economy, locations, and social interactions are all so very intricate that it saddens me to see such a minimal level of strategic elements.

yeah i also wish the console worked so I could play around a bit more before investing in a save game but eh

so apparently I was *completely* off guys and ive never been more delighted, my wife has gotten pregger
