Homebrewing

My first batch has stopped bubbling, going to take an SG reading later, and if all looks well, move a bit of it into ~6 bottles and the rest to keg.

Well, the bubbles smelled, as you'd expect the gasses to, not really broken the seal on it yet to give a better answer though.

Hey, need an opinion here. Specific Gravity is sitting around 1.010, but I've seen no bubbles for ~40 hours. Is that a low enough level to be safe putting it into glass bottles, or is that still a bit high on explosion risk? OG for this batch was 1.040, and I'm planning on priming the bottles with a flat-ish teaspoon of sugar each. Only planning on bottling 8 or so though, and putting the rest into a keg. So yeah, explosion risks?

Might be. Keep it in the fermenter for another week. That helps also with sedimenting, wich means less yeast in the beer. It gives a clearer beer and a better taste.

At first, thought this was a D&D thread. I'm such a nerd.

I don't trust myself, or anyone I know to personally brew any form of drink, so I've never experienced homebrewing in any capacity.

There's not much dangerous that can come of brewing. The danger comes when someone distills alcohol improperly. Fortunately making beer does not involve distillation.

Pretty sure any sort of distilling is illegal, too, and rightfully so. Which is why you can't ever make whisky from scratch, if you don't want trouble.
