I am glad to see some people coming together with this, I like the idea of testing some upped models for performance.
If you can post your high end system specs it would help to determine what good polycounts and textures res's would be.
My system is as follows.

AMD Athlon 64 3700+
Asus K8v something-or-other.... (does it realy matter :razz:)
GeForce 6800 GT 128Mb
Western Digital 80 Gb 7200 RPM HD.
Sound Blaster Live 5.1 sound card.

Currently in max battle size and max all settings I get a good 120 FPS average during big battles.
In small battles/in town/on map I get around 150.
 
Just so you know, the engine does NOT support bump mapping on models. At least, that's what Armagan told me when I asked him if it was possible to use bump maps on the models for onin ran :smile:

Ah ok, well that's fine anyway (Easier for us:razz: )
Thanks for the info though, I also would like to know is the engine supports Dynamic LOD's.. Cuz that'd help alot.
 
for anyone thats played Guild Wars, they use 3D animation in a 2D game plane and 3D enviroment. this makes the game extremely detailed and the graphics are beutiful even if using a low end computer. i used to run it on a 128 ram comp with a horrid graphics card. maybe the taleworlds team can do that?
 
maybe we could combine this a little with the myth mod, if any1 shows me how, i could try to make textures/models better.
 
You have to make sure you hammer teh steel just right... like so. The grip is just as important as the blade, you need to get it some balance or wielding the sword will be dificult. Rap the leather tight, and...

Just added a new blade to my list of weapons. a Zweihander.

Nice. That sword would go well with the Berserks in the Myth mod.

So far I have brougth into the game:
a claymore
a Zweihander (2 handed sword)
a **secret** long sword
a larger battle axe
throwing hammers

I have created (but not yet been able to import)
**secret** armor
trow body (all parts but the head)


I have created, but not tried:
a skull helm
a **secret** helm

I will be also soon trying out some new mits. maybe lobster style gauntlets (armored on one site, mesh on the other). I don't see these last 3 causing any problems, just don't have the time right now to try them.

Lemonfield, what problems are you having?
 
soon. Just want to get a bunch done first... here's one... Sorry, not a skinner, so the texture for the skull helm looks kinda crapy...




I'll release the ones not tied to a mod soon...
 
just fked around a bit with wings3D and i saw it is almost too easy to make items look better, i guess mount&blade itself cant handle the high detail stuff?

wings3d is INCREDIBY and i mean INCREDIBLY powerful once you get to know it. It probably has the best selection of mesh manipulation tools of any 3d modelling application i know. Dont underestimate it :razz:
