Hi guys! how can i find ultra armor?

Ultra armor like:
Just kidding, it´s just very hard to find the top tier armors in the game. It´s easier to marry and then just steal it from your wife/husband.
Also you can´t find the top tier armor early in the game, which is kind of sad. Or did they change it since the last patches?

Get married and you might find a good armor on your spouse.
There's threads about all the brainy details, but in short a smithy wont make an item more expensive then all the gold in a town, so that's why we hardly ever see really good armors for sale. Best you could do is make smithys in the highest prosperity towns just in case they sometime make a good item.

Honestly, why did they even bother designing and modelling them if you cant even buy them, much less try them on. Hope they do something about this or we'll just have to rely on moders to implement a better and simple mechanic like the royal armoury mod. Very disappointing.
BTW, I'm still looking for the masked Khuzait helmet after 1k plus in game days. its laughable. what makes it worse is the rate at which good armour is dropped after battles, its somewhere between rarely to never.
Ohh yeah, your tier 5 units can have them but you can't? OK...

I actually found some hideously overpriced armor and weapons at Maranuth. To wit, one spear priced at 117,000 denarii and the body of imperial lamellar for 90,000+ denarii (no gloves or boots though). Town only had 58,000 denarii so I have no idea where they got the weapons from, but dey was dere, I swears it.
The devs seriously need to fix the money part of the game. One spear is worth more than the treasury of the entire town, seriously? Not a super-weapon of mass destruction, just a kind-of-okay spear that happens to cost 20 times more than it should.

There are circumstances where a town can have a excess of wealth, above and beyond its prosperity. I don't know how or why it happens, but I've seen towns with about twice as money as they 'should' possess, so its possible the stars aligned to make sure a high-tier armor appeared.

Without mods you will never see most of top tier armor. May be you will never see any of them.

Top-tier equipment nowhere to be found? Kataphracts can find lamellar but you had to steal your wife's? This mod adds an armoury to each city's keep where you can buy all the good stuff.

Did someone try to donate city for like 1 mln?
I should clarify that the items produced by workshops have the trade penalty applied to them, which is 52% of base value. So a spear being sold for 117,000 gold will show a price of ~60k gold when the town's gold and item prices are compared. For that reason, a 117k item showing up in a town with 58k gold is something that isn't too unusual.

Yes. I guess it is totaly true.
I made experiment:
I donated 1 mln dinars to Epicrotea.
And guess what. After few days Imperial Lamellar appeared in the shop. It costs 317K denars

There are supposed to be some “mechanics” for this stuff to show up in towns but those “mechanics” seem to have gone out to lunch.

In 1.5.2 I bought my crafted weapons and the whole stock of weapons, leaving my City of Vostrum (Imp culture) with 1.5M of denars, and afters a week aprox the City return to his standard form of 80k of cash aprox, the City has an prosperity of 9800denars daily, and never spawn any armor for troop and Horse
