I'm a pretty avid PC gamer and usually have a good idea of what games are out there. 

So this past weekend I saw Steam offer M&B on the cheap so I did a little research and picked it up. 

WOW!  I love this game and I can't believe it flew under my radar for so long.  I realize its not for everybody but this game is a great accomplishment! 

Hats off to the devs!

Now I gotta start looking into some mods....

I got M&B on a similar deal a long while back, and i thought the same.  it seriously doesnt get as much coverage as it deserves.

with the sequel/expansion comming soon hopefully it will get noticed more.

I got it this weekend on the Steam sale also.  I'm sort of thinking the same thing.  How could I have not known this game exists for so long?  Since I got it sometime on Saturday, I've already dropped 19.5 hours into it, according to Steam.  I still feel like I haven't gotten very deep into it at all, though.  It's a good game.  I could see the game potentially keeping me busy for months, especially once I start trying out mods.

I think it will. Try typing in Warband in google, the suggestions for 'warband beta' or 'warband mount&blade' come up when you get as far as 'Warba'. I know there probably aren't many other things that people would google called Warband, but my impression is that it is higher profile than M&B at it's release

Another reason for my optimism are the vast number of idiotic comments on Youtube which ask for serial keys!

ya this game is very well done and the coolest thing is the size of it its 4 times smaller than any other medival game like the total war games and does the same stuff...


down right impressive and the new expansion looks almost as good as when chuck norris made Terminator 3
