I don't know if anybody has had this problem with "enemy defeated" and "party relieved" messages when dealing with heroes, but I can't figure how to get around it.
Essentially, I have a series of hero-led parties. If the player on his lonesome defeats a hero-led party, the "enemy defeated" message comes up fine.
If the player joins in a battle and helps a hero-led party defeat a regular party, the "party relieved" message comes up with no problem.
If, however, the player jumps in a battle between two hero-led party fighing each other, at the end of the battle, there is an assertion error. If I am careful enough to press "ignore", the game won't crash but proceed to "enemy defeated" followed by "party relieved" messages and continue as if there was no problem.
Similarly, if the player joins in a battle and helps a regular party defeat a hero-led party, the assertion error comes up. Again, just pressing ignore overrides it and we get to "party relieved".
So, it seems the assertion error always comes up whenever you help someone else defeat a hero-led party. Any thoughts?
(P.S. - For what it's worth, the "mission failed" message hits every time, but that doesn't bug me in the least).
