Helping claimant after starting new kingdom?

If I have already founded my own faction, can I lift a claimant to the throne and amintain sovereignty? Or will I end up his vassal when it's over?

I don't necessarily want to conquer all of any one faction. I was thinking I might try to repair relations with one after capturing the territory I wanted by putting someone else in charge.

I reckon your faction will be merged into the claimants faction. They will become the new ruler of the faction, and I think you might be able to keep your land, but you will no longer maintain sovereignity.

Good to know. Looks like any claimant questing will be done prior to striking out on my own. I guess that's the way it should be.

a really cool implimentation would be able to allow your kingdoms to unite and you help claim back the claiments one while maintaining controll of your own. The end result being 100 relations with the other faction and war being extremely unlikely between the two.
