Hello!

So thanks to very unhelpful people not helping me with my previous problem, I hereby ask again of this issue:

Where do I find the story menu things

I need it so I can translate this mod a bit better. (It's the ROTK mod btw. I'm trying to translate as much things as I can, making some new scripts here and there and stuff). I just wanna know this. If that's fine.

Thank you, and please, if you know how to do this, just let me know. Don't post things that won't help or contribute to the topic.

you have two options:

1) translate in the game source (using modsys and the .py files)
2) create a new language pack for your mod (lets say it was written in English, and now you want to add Spanish as well)

(2) is done via the game menu. Go into window mode (Alt+Enter) and you will see a option to create the package. You will then have all the game text in .csv files, translate them and move to your game folder

the nice thingy about this is that you can have multiple languages support. And you don't need to mess with the game code


(1) as you said you are working on scripts and such I will assume you already have the modsys and that you know how to compile it. Now all you need is a decent text editor: Notepad++ (with explorer plugin), Sublime Text, etc

get one of those and you can quickly do a full text search (it will try to find your text on any of the files in the folder). Use what you see on your screen as the keyword (the phrases), and it will quickly take you to the game code location.

if you find a string from module_strings.py like "str_my_string" then just go to that file and search for it there, remove the "str_" to locate it
