help with savegames and mods

Hi, I recently installed a weapons pack and now I want to uninstall it.    But when I do so manually the savegames will not work asking me for missing items,  I tried a new installation and the same.  How can I make my savegames compatible with the original again?

Many mods are not save game compatible.  Most say so, but frankly it's really hard to find these answers (even in mods with FAQs) unless you know what to look for.

You may just have to start a new game, or put the mod back in.

hi, It's caled talak weapon pack or something like that, I like a few weapons but others not, but I cannot take out anything so I want to uninstall it.  it's got like 33 items in it.

If you like some you could just use the Item Editor and remove the flag Merchandise (at least I think that's the name) from the items you don't want to see. Items marked that way will slowly vanish from the vendors stocks and whichever you or your companions own will remain but that's it.

It might be possible to totally remove the mod but for that you need to:

[*]buy all items from that mod at all merchants (better use cheats for money and fast travel)
[*]drop the items
[*]reinstall the old items file (hope you kept it somewhere)
[*]load up your save game
[*]If you believe in that stuff send a prayer to Saint Cajetan

And no guarantee that it works, it's easy to overlook something.
