Okay, i know this belongs in technical support, i think, but its not a technical issue, and its kinda- not so much- about mods.
Im confused.

~

Okay, here's the deal, i was on the modules forum, looking for mods, dee-doo, dee-daa, and i see ''the peasents are revolting mod'' so i download it, hoping to play right away but, first off, im a computer retard. I go to you computer geniuses for all my comp. needs. So, when i click the link to download, do i open, or save? or does it even matter which one i do first!? well, i tried both. With open, i waited about 2 minutes, and the folder verified itself, and it had a folder titled ''T.P.A.R. v.0.1'' So i put that folder in the savegames folder, where native is already located,(When i put craftmod in that same folder, it worked fine) So i open the folder, Extract the zipped file, and there is all the textures, et cetera, i read the TPAR read-me, and it says to put it in your module directory. Here's the part where i'm confused, i dont HAVE a modules folder/directory, or anything like that! i have one M&B folder, the mount and blade/savegames folder. do i manually have to make a folder? and if so, -

please help this poor computer-handicapped fellow.
If you are so kind as to help me, i would ask for a step by step, so i dont mess up mount and blade more then i already have.
Help.

Library FAQ post detailing mod installation:

ok, that dident help, i know how to do everything, but there is no modules folder, i only have the mount&blade savegames folder. NOTHING ELSE. i have scanned my entire comp looking for it...
should i reinstall?

you should go to your programs folder, find Mount & Blade there and then the module folder should be in there, the savegame folder is in documents.

How to get to the program folder?

1 : "This computer" or something like that.
2 : "Local Disk" or something like that.
3 : "Programs".

Good luck.

Thank you so much. You helped me more then the FAQ could... I owe you one.
I thought this part of the FAQ covered that to at least an understandable degree:
2) it is a zipped file in either ZIP or RAR format. you will need to manually unzip it (usually done by right click, extract to..., then select file) to the mount and blade modules directory. By default this is C:/programfiles/mountandblade/modules. if you changed it, then you will have to select the different directory.
Though in fact it would actually be "Program Files" rather than "programfiles", and "Mount&Blade" rather than "mountandblade". I'll go clean that detail up.

I guess the problem was that i dident know where the real mountandblade folder was, no offense to the FAQ

Edit: ok, i put the TPAR mod in the modules directory, then i clicked extract all, and a new folder came up. i tried to find it in the drop box, but its not there...do i need to do something with the 2cnd folder?

You don't put the .rar folder into the modules directory. You put the folder that was inside the rar folder into the modules directory. So, yes. You do need to do something with the 2nd folder.
