Hey all, i'm actually working on my own Multiplayer Mod for warband here, and i'v many questions about many things. I hope you can help me..


First : I interested to make scene_props sound, exemple i search how to make a type of sound (ogg) on a scene_props like "crackle's fire" on brazier etc... If you know how to do that please answers this topic

Second : i would like create a new menu like if we choose factions for an example, i would like insert a menu to choose the starting gold, it's work as a difficulty system. How to make that ?

Last : I'm trying to insert fire arrows, i'v have the mesh but i would like insert an action with " press f " before a scene_props and this actions would change only one arrows on the player's stack against an only one fire arrows.

  • For the first and last ones you need to take a look to how triggers work, for both scene props and items. Look at existing entries for reference (like the torch) and search for fire arrow forge with your favorite search engine and use one of the available scripts, like this one.
  • For the second one, well, in multiplayer there aren't real menus, just presentations, which aren't straightforward at all and very open, to put it bluntly.
    Just tweak an existing "menu" until you get the gist of it. For completeness, Rubik has specially well crafted code for complex presentations, look at his code for reference. Not an easy feat, be prepared to indent a lot of verbose code or it will go out of control pretty fast.
 
Yeah i have a friend and he tell me to see the torch code :

I'v already the mesh and texture item for my fire arrow, to make the fire on the arrows i just need to put this code in the item's line in module item like that ?

For play a sound with a prop, it's just :

  ("torch_night",0,"torch_a","0",
  [
  (ti_on_init_scene_prop,
    [

        (play_sound, "snd_torch_loop", 0),
    ]),
  ]),
You can add some effects like smoke and conditions (only by night, if a variable is on 1...)

Um, it's better to make a wave sound  :roll: ogg= musics, it's just my opinion.
Of course make a entry in module sound

("bravo",sf_priority_10|sf_vol_10, ["bravo.wav"]),  for a simple sound

A random group
("lords_greetings_begin",sf_priority_10|sf_vol_10, ["lord_gt_1.wav","lord_gt_2.wav","lord_gt_3.wav"]),

And If it's a sound in loop (pour un son continu in french  :mrgreen:)
("fire_loop",sf_priority_9|sf_vol_4|sf_looping|sf_start_at_random_pos, ["Fire_Torch_Loop3.ogg"]),

And the souds in "sounds" folder in your mod.

Sorry Alpha, but i dont have time for more help  :neutral: and you have your fire arrows with the Swyter's link ! (WSE required) i think it's possible without WSE ...)

It can work, but i think you need a specific bow too.
It's the  structure for a weapon not for ammo  :wink:

Thanks, i'v fixed scene props spund yesterday with bouya :smile:, and we have exactly seen rhe code doesn ´t work for ammo just for a weapon. We arr actualy searching the specific code into the fire arrow mod.
 
Hey all i'm actually searching to balance the weather time into a mod. How to put a coefficient to a random weather. Exemple 45% time day, 20% rain, 25% fog, 10% hard fog....
How to add other time and how to made a % to fuxe them vehind starting a new partie ?
