(Help) Modifying Weapon Properties

The Lords and Realms mod got me back into M&B, but I find the pikemen very frustrating. I get annoyed when they kill me from from six feet away with a 20+ foot pike.

So I was wondering if there is an easy way of making the pikemen able to hit a target only with the tip of their pikes?

In the notepad files, it's the fourth to last number:

More importantly though, when someone is about to slash, dice, or bludgeon them to death from close range they should be dropping their pikes and reaching for their secondary weapon...

Yeah, but the M&B AI is...sacrificial. Archers will let you slice them just so they can get one last arrow into your plate grieves.
