Hello, although you already know, I'll tell you: my forum name is long and of mixed language. What really matters is that I'm here to ask you about sources on the history of eastern (realworld!) countries.
But Dings, you may think now, this is a Mount and Blade Forum - why are you spamming it with completely unrelated stuff.
- Well, easy answer: I don't.
This research isn't built up on curiosity only ( is this an english sentence? I hope so ...). I'm currently planning a mod, which should be based on realworld-Asia. That's why I'm here - well that and the fact that Google wasn't all that helpfull until now.
Now that I have clarified my motives, I should maybe go into detail. What EXACTLY do I need. I need information about the Safavid Dynasty, the Sultanate of Delhi, the Mogul Empire, the realms of South-East Asia, the realms of southern India, China ( especially the Wei, and Ming-Dynasties), Japan, the Jurchen-Tribes and the eastern mongolian and turkish nomads. All of the above in the period between the 14th - 17th century ( A.D. of course), well except the ones that didn't exist in that period (f.e. Wei). What do I want to know about them? Well, basically everything. Laws, culture, religion, dresscode, military, special rulers, ... . I can use everything, as long as it's reliable.
Thanks alot.

Point 1: Don't you think I've tried? ( For example: when I'm searching for chinese dynasties, all I get is Wikipedia, telling me: "Yes they existed - fin." and pictures of modern chinese politicians, models and vases) - talking about books, I know from experience that they aren't always reliable and I think it's understandable that I don't want to buy a whole library just to find the one book, that's actually of any use.
Point 2: The Sage's Guild however looks promising, I'll search it threw. If I find what I'm looking for, I'll close this topic for spam-reasons.

Well, I've done fairly comprehensive studies on most of the dynasties and regions requested, but you're kind of giving a pretty tall order.

This period in east/south asia and the middle east is highly dynamic and you're unlikely to get any information for any if these regions which covers this entire time period. If I were you I'd pick a specific decade to draw from, otherwise you'll quickly be overwhelmed by how much there is to research. Even if it's not a strictly accurate real world mod you want to cut down on time consuming tasks like research a much as you can, because modding is extremely time consuming as it is.

There is plenty of useful and specific stuff on the internet, and for the purposes of the mod wikipedia should be fine for what you're looking for. The articles for the mongols and safavids are pretty large and comprehensive. However if you have no background knowledge in the history of asia then buy a general overview book to get you started off, because wikipedia assumes you have background knowledge in the subject at hand. Here are a couple of good books:

Genghis Khan and Mongol Rule -- George Lane
After Tamerlane: The Rise And Fall of Glibal Empires 1400-2000

 topic is too broad and it should be in the sage's guild
keep it simple, and precise when deciding on a time period or scope
:iamamoron: and here's a good start  http://www.dbaol.com/armies.htm
