Somethings wrong with my account, it allows me to make one post/pm/etc. and then it throws me out.

The problem is that when it throws me off, it still keeps my account connected, which means I have to wait for it to automatically log itself out (it happens when the account is inactive for long) before I can make my one post again.

Erm, cookie cleaners?

Sorry, but could someone explain that to me?

I probably have a cookie cleaner (my stepdad's quite paranoid and always installs new anti-virus software and the like almost daily.)

You.. dont get it Scamp. A cookie cleaner automatically delete's any incoming cookies as soon as they come in, which is why he always logs off.

What all Anti-Virus' does he have?

There is your problem.

Here's the list of all the Anti-Viruses', etc.

Norton Internet Security 2005
Spybot- Search and destroy
Spyblaster
Used to have Ad-Aware, my step-dad uninstalled it.
Also had Starware or something, I got fed up and uninstalled it myself without asking my stepdad's permission. (It's his PC, I'm still waiting to get my own)

And the cookie monster's my problem? How could he betray me?

Not even close to 100 meg. I don't know the size of Norton, but my antivirus program is only about 32 megs and the other two are 14 and 3 megs. AdAware would only add 4 megs. I've never heard of Starware.

Check the options in Norton Internet Security. I think it has some kind of privacy thing. Disable it or add talewords.com to whatever 'allow' list it has. Spyblaster won't do anything like this. Spybot sd will, though. To fix this, follow these instructions. Start the program. If it is in basic view, choose advanced. Go to settingsignore cookies. Check all cookies from talewords (I don't know which one(s) are for the forums). Make sure you click this for all browsers on your system, if applicable. I can't help you with Starware since I don't know what it is.

Well, like I said Starware and Ad-Aware are uninstalled.

The only option that Spybot has is "Uninstall Spybot" so I don't know how to change that. I can't change Norton, Because on;y my stepdad has the password to disabl things in there, and don't count on him to disable it for you, he'll just talk around the subject all the time.

Ahh, I want my own pc!

Thanks for the advice anyway

  i pity you, sir killalot, but after 5 years, of conflict between me and my dad, i won, the komputer is mine, no one can touch it!

Well K1llalot, I have a suggestion for you..

www.limeware.com

Get anything you could ever need, brute forcer's, CD-key's, prated programs, even unreleased movies. I'm sure you will find something.

Maybe you should rephrase your post Reiel. I believe "limeware" can be used to share legal stuff too.
As the rules go:
-No piracy, talk of piracy, talk of warez, or anything of the sort.

I don't mean from the start menu. Open the program and click what I said. About Norton: unless your dad works with computers a lot, he probably has a normal sort of password. As in very weak. Try his name, birthday, car, and your mom's name. Or just describe the problem and he'll probably do it, since that doesn't compromise security to add one site to an ignore list. And I agree with Henderson.

Sir K1lLalot, this simple problem can be cured with teh sl4ppage! In this case, your stepdads the problem. You can find the instructions in the mod forums, I can't remember the thread.

Maybe you can describe, to your stepdad "your f*cking norton is screwing up the internet" and maybe he'll get scared, and uninstall it, btw, what happend to your original dad?
