Help.........im OCD about my map!

ive discovered that i have a problem.  i cant stand having my map out of whack.  i usually play as the swadians since they are always at war with at least two groups but sometimes some other group acts a bit stupid as well.  i have literally renounced my vassalage just to sign up with the underdog group solely for the purpose of getting my map back in balance.    i really wish there was a way to get a castle or base or something to use if you want to play pure mercenary.

control M supposedly resets your map.  its one of the control cheats i found online.  the only one i really use is the control left click if im looking for ransom broker, i really wish they would just put one in every city cause hunting for them is just really getting old.

Okay, I went to options turned cheat on and pressed CTRL + M... nothing happened.

Do you need to have that extra debug mode on too ?

...didnt work for me either.  i might be mistake or its from another game im thinking of.  could have sworn i saw it for mount and blade though.  there is another cheat thing with the tilde key i think but i havent used that since thats mostly for editing stuff.  im just happy to not have to waste ingame time hunting for ransom brokers.
