Help - I cannot load a save game at all (.711)

I just installed 0.711 at new (couple of months ago removed .704) and my game works nicely until I try to load a save game. Then the game crashes - "assertion failed" error.
Advices please

Is the save game from 0.711?

It could be a corrupted savegame. Does this happen everytime you save and try and reload, or is it just the one save file?

Might also be worth uninstalling M&B, Deleting the folder and then running the full install.

It is absolutely new save game from 0.711. It cann't even ope the save games screens - crashes on the menu after hitting "restore a save game".

You could try ignoring it and seeing if it still works.

Usually, this problem can be resolved with a re-install. Uninstall the game, delete the M&B folder, then download and run the full install program. It should solve the problem.

Reinstalled and worked. But in the first install I configured the game according to my video card as the tips say in the "configure" file. Maybe this is the reason. I am afraid to try it again

Configuring the video card won't affect the save.

What most likely happened is that one of the core game files became corrupt during the patching process. This could have been caused by any number of things, but the re-install should have fixed it. Besides, the error message you were getting has nothing to do with the graphics card.
