Hello! Dear developers, I really like your "face editor" but I would really like to be able to turn off the
visibility of helmets during the game. I am interested to see what other players look like, “know them in the face”, I think this option would not harm the game in any way, but would add variability

Only as a save area option, like visiting a castle or going into town normally and then you would loose its armor, forinstance if you are ambushed while in town.

That popped up in some SP footage didn't it? Battle attire and civilian attire as a separate slot.

So invisible helmets option a la Bioware? Might as well have invisible armor and magic. I would prefer that you are even forced to ditch your armor and your weapons except maybe a "sidearm" when your character enters a city, at least until you are a lord of the faction that owns that fief.

Not something i have noticed or seen, but i have heard rumors that it might be a thing, but only rumors.

This sort of thing is not my cup of tea, but I understand that people would want an option like this. I do see some issues with something like this, mainly the hitbox though it's not a serious issue.

I would advise you go back and watch any Gamescom footage where the player looks at their inventory. In the centre of the inventory screen up near the top there are two icons, one a helmet and the other a bycocket (Robin Hood's hat), the one on the right is the casual wear and from what I can tell is worn when in castles and town centres. So unless they have removed it since, it's not a rumour but a confirmed feature.

I'd rather it work such that if you take critical damage in the head (85+) your helmet gets knocked clean off.

I see no reason to vote no on this. I'm in the camp that prefers realism in my Mount and Blade, and therefore would rather leave the helmet visible, but having it as an option can only be a positive thing.

I saw it in the most recent singelplayer campaign footage floating around as of about six months ago. When the guy walked into town, he wore a doublet and some fine leggings or the like, and I remember him distinctly saying that one of the developers told him this was because there are now separate attire sets for battle and town, the former being "what you wear when you're expecting danger".

There’s an icon at the top of the inventory screen that lets you switch over to your civilian outfit, and customize it from there. Easily visible in any of the videos with Borogomir from last Gamescom.

As long as the option only effects singleplayer, I see no issue with this. If Taleworlds don't add this I'm sure a modder would easily.

i voted no, for SP i hope that when in "safe" areas such as villages/towns/forts your helmet will indeed be off, but during a battle or MP matches it makes no sense, there should be an option but then you'd recieve a penalty of reduced armor rating
