Hey everybody, I'm new here (In case you didn't notice...), and I can only say "Thank you, for creating such an awesome game, which isn't even finished!". I love it, and I can't stop playing
However, there's one little thing that I'd like to ask... is it possible to pay in another way for the full beta, rather than with a credit card? I ask this because my dad is obsessed with credit card security (And with good reason), and I know that he won't let me but the serial key via credit card. I have a royal bank account, and I have my own cheques, so if there's a way through those means to get the serial key, please do tell me!
Still, even without a serial key, this game is awesome

Note: I know that there is a "Welcome/Thank you" thread, but I posted this here because I'm also asking for something else. I hope that's okay.

If that doesn't work for you, we also accept payment by PayPal. However, we can not process PayPal orders automatically and it is inconvenient for us to transfer funds with PayPal. Therefore we charge an extra $3 comission for PayPal orders. If you would like to purchase Mount&Blade via PayPal, please send $15 to: [email protected] . We process these orders manually and it may take up to one business day to receive your serial key in this case.

If you are the trusting kind, I suppose you could send money to someone, and ask them to buy a key for you.

Thanks, exactly what I needed! ^_^

MMad, I can't trust any of you guys... I don't know anybody here

He meant someone you know in "Real Life", who has a credit card

Aaaaah, sorry, my bad, I thought he meant... nevermind  Nah, not even, I don't have anyone who I trust in RL and it's willing to pay for me.
By the way, sorry but Paypal uses credit cards too  Any way I can mail a cheque to the admins? Something like that?

I'd say just use Paypal. Sure it uses a credit card, and sure it *may* contain a risk, but how do you think the rest of us got our serial keys? (my brother bought one for me and him). Of course, there's no harm done in settling something out with armagan, but it might take a longer time to get your serial key. Oh well, hope that helps.

Good idea, I'll try contacting the admin himself  Wish me luck!

Note: there's the possibility of one of you guys, living in Canada, sneds me the key, I send the money to you (cheque), you send the money to armagan... could it work?

Where about in Canada are you, out of curiosity?

(Vancouver Islander here)

Actually, you know what? If you have a royal bank account with online banking, you can just e-transfer the money into someone's account, (that way neither person needs to know each other's banking information... it's all handled by Royal Bank) have them buy the serial and send it to you. I've used the e-transfer quite a few times to sell things on MEC gearpost to other Canadians, and it's pretty smooth... $1.50 transfer fee though.

Sounds good, but the problem remains: there's no one I know willing to make the payment for the Serial Key. It's not a matter of money, but security. I already PMed armagan, and I hope he gives me a "yes" of sorts.

I live in Winnipeg, Manitoba

I live on the coast of BC too, though I am not offering to help you pay, sorry. But It's nice to know there are other canadians here.

Well I'll tell you what then. Give it a few days for Armagan to reply, and if he says there's nothing he can do (which would be understandable... he's in Turkey, so it might be a MAJOR hassle for him to work it out.) then maybe I can help you out.

I wouldn't be willing to pay out any money until I have the money in my account... the e-transfer thing is instantaneous, and cant bounce like a cheque, since it takes it out of your account immediately... so if says the funds are there they are.

I already bought my own key, which Armagan would be able to verify when I pay, so there's no concern that I'd take this as an opportunity to register my own game too: it already is.

We'll wait a bit to see if Armagan can't work something out, but if he can't just PM me and we might be able to work it out. We could do it sometime when we're both around, so that it'd be an instant "money's in my account, I pay and email you the serial" thing instead of waiting around with any doubt that I screwed you over.

It's your choice, trusting faceless people on the internet can suck... if you could find someone close to home to help you out that's the ideal, but my Dad was the same way when I was a kid so I understand.

With an e-transfer: I don't get to see any of your account details besides your name. No worries there either.

How very kind of you  Good plan, I'll wait for him to reply (Still no answer, but I only PMed him yesterday), and if he can't do anything, we can sort this out with the e-thingy.

Meh, Armagan hasn't answered yet  Tell you what, let's do this... send me a PM with all the stuff we will do for the transfer, then tell me in the same PM at what times are you available (So we do it at the same time). Afterwards, I'll reply with my schedule.
That okay? In the meantime, Armagan has time to reply.
