I just hope it lives up to its potential. I know its a lot of hard work for a smaller design team to do, but they've gotten so far, I hope they really finish off well. Kudos for such design innovation!
Anyway, my question is this: it doesn't seem that you can control what kind of swing you make, but it's apparent to me that certain swings are more desirable than others. I was wondering if there would ever be a simple way to increase one kind of swing over another? Like maybe combat stances? In once stance, the most common swing is overhead, and in another stance it is the thrust. This would retain the simplicity of the combat, but also give some measure of control back to the player. I think my idea is based on the fact that you can have some weapons which do two kinds of damage, and you might want to switch stances based on the armor they are wearing. I guess you could just switch weapons though.
Sorry, didn't mean to turn this into a suggestion, I can't help it! I really just wanted to ask if this kind of thing was ever mentioned by the devs. I can understand why they designed it so you don't have total control.
[Edit: Formal apology for my mistake. I don't know HOW I missed the sticky. I guess it's because when there are so many stickies, I only see the ones I want to see such as the FAQ, etc. hehe. Anyway, sorry again for the mispost.]
