Hi, just bought M&B. What a kick ass game, so addictive. Lots of "huh, already morning?"-moments =)
Curious about on thing though, is there a set schedule for features and content? And do you (dev team) have any idea of when 1.0 will be reached?

Anyways, thanks for a great game!

[EDIT: Sorry about the avatar, I thought the forum would auto shrink it. Its fixed now.]

Can you give us an idea of some of your plans for the game then?
The more we know about where you're looking to take the game, the more we can help with it's development. :)

Out of curiosity, is this your full time job (I assume not)? Or a hobby after hours?

Have you thought about adding to your development team? Maybe even 1 dedicated/experienced/free helper that would be easy to manage?

Yes, I am working on the game full time for quite some time now. Basically, we are planning to carry out the development in three stages:

Stage 1: We will complete the features and make the game as stable as possible. (We are at this stage now)

Stage 2: We will develop a Module builder tool. At the end of this stage when the tool is ready, we will offer it for download and invite players to write modules using it.

Stage 3: We will add a lot of content to the official release by hiring professionals or incorporating some player-developed content to the game.

It's a sophisticated plan but we are not in a hurry. Since we could come this far, the rest will be easier and even more fun!

All things art related would probably be easy to "out-source". If people are willing to contribute for free why not give it a go? If youre lucky you might end up with some really great art for free.

At this point, you might be able to make new units just by fiddling around with a text file. I know that the mountless knights issue was hotfixed this way. Has anyone tried playing around with that file?

The mod builder sounds like a great idea! I did a lot of scripting and mod building for Neverwinter Nights. I think I enjoyed scripting for NWN more than I did playing the dang game.

When the time comes, I would definately be interested in submitting some work. Always good to have something else in game design to pad on to the resume.
