I'm sorry, but can you describe what is happening a little better. I don't understand what the game is (or isn't) doing.
Also state what version it is, what operating system you have and all of that, if you could.

Are you sure you clicked the right one?
There is a patch and the full game. THe patch is for if you already got a previous version and need to upgrade, it is 27 megs.

We are offering Mount&Blade through a try before you buy model. You can download the game and start playing right away. What you download is not a demo, it is the full game. There is, however, a level limit at 6. When your character reaches level 6, you can start a new game or, if you decide you like the game well enough, go on and buy a license online. As soon as you buy a license you will obtain a serial key which will remove the level limit. You will not need to download the game again.

The 0.702 is actually just one file. It is called mount&blade.exe and you can download it from the bottom of my signature.
Take that file and place it in the mount&blade folder and overwrite the 0.701 version.
After that ... you are upgraded to 0.702.
Make sure to delete old 0.701 save games (you can do this in-game) as there seems to be a problem with them causing problems after you go to 0.702.

i downloaded it and replaced, but same happends
when i hit control alt supr i see MOUNT&BLADE during 2 seconds, then, it disspaears and nothing happends, as before replacing the exe
as a curiosity, i double clicked the exe which i downloaded to the desktop and made there a safety copy, and the pc crashed....

I'm not sure if we are understanding each other.
Have you installed a full version of M&B already or are you double-clicking a file you downloaded called mount&blade.exe?

sorry my fault
i installed it again, replaced the EXE and double click to the exe -> nothing happends
but, if i download the exe and open it (outside its folder) the PC CRASH , it restarts, and then, i must shut if off manually cuz gets like crazy and does not obey my orders....
very very very weird...

I wish I could help you more, but I'm at a loss.

Has the game ever worked on the system?
Firstly, check video and sound drivers are up to date. Also, make sure you have the latest version of Direct X.
Secondly, try closing down all background applications. Go to Start -> run -> type "MSCONFIG" (without quotes) and hit enter.
On the screen which appears, click the startup tab at the top right. Click disable all on the bottom right and then OK. Click ok to restart.
When the computer restarts, cancel msconfig if it opens again. Try playing Mount & Blade. If it works, then something running in the background is preventing M&B from starting. Run MSCONFIG again, and check through the list of programs that are starting. You should be able to identify what the programs are through their names. Tick only the ones you really need (firewall, antivirus) and restart. Try again.
