Ok, everyone, try this!

Make a new guy/girl. You want the highest agility and athletics you can get. If you have any left over spend it in Power Attack. Max out your polearm skill. Then, start the game.

Sell everything you have. Talk to the constable, get the shield, and then sell that.

Buy ONLY spear, and boots. Try to play the game like that. Only playing with spears and boots. Right now I have a huge spear, and black greaves .

Now, THAT is berserkage. It is insanely hard. Try taking on black knights! But! You are insanely fast, agile, and crazily unstoppable. Except, close range doesn't work with a spear.

That's where you need the athletics .

Have fun berserking!

can we do it with a greatsword? i'm not a spear guy

Nope. The spear is what makes it fun. Also, try to unhorse black knights with a greatsword  . It isn't easy.
Also, the spear makes it vital to not get involved in close combat, but to stay 6-7 ft away.

I dunno but if it is unrealistic to have dual-weapons handling here. I may be beating the dead horse. But spear in one hand and an axe on another is the image I have on my mind...I may try this for my next character, sounds like fun.

BTW, is there a limit of your party size? Or should this guy/gal work alone?

Oh, if there is a mod for "unarmed combat" for M&B, I guess this will be even more difficult.

CMutton.

My man Berserker Erik wears nothing at all except his shock of red hair and carries a massive axe.

He beats up passing enemies for fun.

I suddenly have a picture of a guy running around with two heavy great axes slaying everybody...

Unhorsing black knights with a two handed weapon isn't too hard with some practice. Unfortunately you usually only get one attack in before the rest of the black knights leave you in a constant state of "flinching because horses are hitting you"

I'm currently playing a berserker with a glaive, hard hunter boots, and two fighter women
I only let myself recruit peasants and besides using my polearm I let myself throw stones. Done a few 25+ damage headshots with the stones lol. Smashing people in the face with the glaive is soo fun.

My best battle so far was me against 8 steppe bandits on horseback. I went to the top of this huge cliff and fought them off one by one. I won with only 6 HP left lol. I let the rider come in and I block his blow then circle around and slash them in the back for about 30-50 damage.

Why block when you have a glaive? Stab the horse to make it rear before he can hit you, then, while recovering move to the side of the rider where he currently doesn't have his weapon, hack him down... if he tries to raise his shield, just hack down on the horse, then cut down on the rider as he tries to get up...

In this particular battle the hilltop was really tiny, moving all around the sides would be too risky unless I wanted to fall 40ft into a river loaded with angry bandits that had previously fallen off the cliff. Also standing in one place made it easier for me to see everything that was going on so I could make sure they didn't sit there with bows or hit me from the back.

Be fun to grab all the npcs using the npc mod and then play berserker style with just the heroes and no army.

Be cooler though if there were tattoed skins. The black and white body paint that conan uses in the first movie would be a nice skin.
