Hegemony "Moments"

This is sort of like a screenshots thread, except these screenshots are of particular events or things that you witness, things that make you laugh, cry or simply go WTF.

I'll go first, firstly with a kind of sad moment and then a WTF one.

First the sad one, poor guy, didn't even stand a chance, bringing my phalanx to face the enemy, my phalanx including some allied troops when, out of nowhere, a javelin appears and hits this guy right in the head, sadly, he did die, though we avenged his name, whatever the hell it was.




The WTF one :

Nope, Most of the troops in the caravan now aren't even the original ones, it'll certainly be an oh**** moment when whoever beast the caravan gets all the troops.

Javelin units in this game really don't mess around. I get pegged in the head with javelins all the time. but it never seems to happen when I'm wearing a helmet... Murphy's law I guess...

I've always found the best time to use javelins to be when the guy is standing right in front of you.
100% guaranteed BOOM HEADSHOT

I love javelins in this game. I have a rider character that carries a shield, melee weapon, and two large bags of roman javelins. With a decent power throw it's a guaranteed kill or shield smasher! I especially enjoy circling around the enemy as  they approach my infantry shield wall, and just lobbing all my javelins into the mass. You can barely see what's going on, but you hear plenty of "aaargh!!"s and shields breaking then when they've moved up you see a dozen or so men lying on the ground with javelins poking out of all sorts of unfortunate locations.

I always kill the colonists. Now that is where I get a lot of headshots. I carry an overhanded bronze dopu(sp) roman looking shield, large bag of pilum, and a fast sword (like 116). I do alright wish I had more pilum. I manage to shatter shields though so its all good

My character is also an Javeline thrower, you just launch them into groups of men with no big aiming so youre most effective in huge battles, after that switch to the lance or resupply at the box.
